Okay, this ramble is probably going to sound all negative-nancy-like and I apologize for that in advance.

But...
So, I know a lot of you guys have one or two copies, and not the exorbitant five that I do. Still, this question applies, as a lot of us have been playing for almost an entire year now. This could be burnout, or, well, not. I want to see what you guys think.

So, to all y'all out there who play lots every day, I have a question.

Aren't you tired of all the same dialogue day in and day out? Do you talk to your villagers a lot? If so, what keeps you from burning out on hearing the same sentence three times in a row? I've always been one to spam talk my villagers, ever since WW, so it's kind of a crucial thing to me.

How do you folks who play regularly feel? How do you cope with it? It seems to upset me a great deal for some reason. (Though I'm sure part of this is me needing to take a proper break.)

Thank you!

I have three copies, and I admit that I talk to villagers less than I used to back on the GC and in WW. I personally find villagers less interesting to talk to than in previous games, which disappointed me quite a bit early on in the game's release, but I've (mostly) made peace with it. Now I focus on other features, like town development and sporadically, interior design.

I have almost as many copies as you...I have four lol.
And I play everyday and have since June ninth. I talk to my villagers a lot and while yes the repeat things I still enjoy talking to them. It doesn't really bother me too much. However I do wish they had more to say, but I still don't get bored as they still say new things.

I have two copies. I used to play every single day, but I haven't played in months now. It got pretty boring; and I don't even know why I bothered buying a 2nd copy when I don't even need it ( I need to stop wasting money. ). Yeah, you could say the dialogue gets pretty boring quickly, at least for me.

Thank you all so much for your replies! I think this is proving more and more than I need a break; seeing as some of you can tolerate it. For some reason I can't rip away from my main copy, ugh. I've quit all the others, it's just my main that I keep playing every 3 days... =A= I really need to not, though. I guess I just anticipate wanting to buy or sell stuff on here and that would require playing my main copy qq

I'm hoping that, after my break, my sourness will wear off a bit. I'm in the same boat as you, Hirisa. Hideously disappointed with the state of affairs when it comes to dialogue. :| WW was infinitely better -grumblegrumble-

I talk to them twice a day, they never say the same thing. Well, they say the same thing as yesterday but still. AC would be the same for me without talking to my villagers.

Ahh, it's a shame I regard talking to them so highly :c It's part of what makes the game for me, so not doing it feels weird... @_@; Thank you though :3

I don't really pay much attention to my villagers. I only pay attention to Flurry cause she is just adorable and I love her. :)

I try to talk to all of my villagers daily. If one is in a shop I don't usually bother. I have multiple copies as well but am concentrating on finishing my main ATM. I get on my other copies every other day or so to check for pings as I am holding some but those towns I don't talk to everyone like I do in my main. I'll admit I can get annoyed sometimes but then I think about what my town would be like if the annoying villager ATM were gone, so I just suck it up and grant whatever request they ask. Lol!

I've got 4 copies. In my main town, I don't really talk to my residents for their dialogue, but just to make sure that they don't move out. I normally just hold the R button to speed up the conversation since none of it's new or interesting. For the other 3, they're just my storage and cycling towns, so I don't talk to them at all unless they're one of my dreamies.

I have one copy and it ends up annoying me how they always say the same things but when that happens, I'll just not talk to them as much except to make sure they're not moving out (if they would move out).

I've been playing since June 9th and talk to my villagers daily. May seem wierd, but I have NEVER, EVER felt the dialogue getting stale, repetitive, or boring. Most of the time, half the villagers are at Main Street, the other half in the town, so I'm not talking to the same villager 100 times. In all my play time, I've never been so repetitive with a villager that they eventually does that thinking thing and doesn't want to talk to me because I only talk to them when walking by on a regular routine or in the morning when I get on, and only a few times so it isn't repetitive and feels more natural. c:

oh so its not more fun to kill me yay

also ya take breaks too or else you'll want to kill them for trying to buy everything off you for 5 bells lol

I've only been playing since February and in my town I have 1 of each personality and 2 extra that I sometimes let move to get another one from the camping. but I don't talk to them I mean unless the ping me or just to make sure no one moves out. I wish there was more dialogue but at the same time I know that it takes a lot to add to these games when making them..I guess a special update/patch with new dialogues would be cool so people wouldn't get bored with them game

Yeah, it's kinda boring that they're always talking about the same things.. Especially the ones with same personality :D The only villager I talk a lot with is Francine, so it's not that I even spend a lot of time talking with them and listening to the same stuff all the time.

I talk with them a lot less than I used to, and I often skip through dialogue now. The only stuff I'll take the time to read are conversations between villagers.

I've only been playing since December but I still play pretty much every single day for around 3-5 hours. I like to pretend my villagers have amnesia, not a joke. I did that in Wild World too. I really wish that more dialogue could get released somehow/someway because you're right, after hearing the same line 5 times over it gets really old.

I agree with this statement.. lol tho i do talk to my animals daily, it is fun when they do pop out with something new to say, and it does happen fairly often, Gotta talk to my lil animals. Yes Especially Flurry.. aka Ham ham.
