Talk About Your Town

Wow. So many awesome towns in this thread.

Hollow is my first AC town, and I just said yes to the first option offered by Rover, which has had good points and bad points. Good points: cherries, the type of grass that goes to stars when it wears down, only one pool, only five rocks. Bad points: EVERYTHING ELSE. so much river. augh.

Overview:

The town has grown up organically over time and never really had much of an intent behind it, being my first time with an AC game and everything, but I've now decided I'm going to go for a sort of dark fantasy vibe. There aren't a lot of PWPs at the moment because the mayor is Scrooge McDuck and refuses to pay for anything. We have a Narnia cedar forest with a streetlight in the middle (work in progress, need more cedars). Outside of Narnia, we grow lemons, durians and perfect cherries, though the latter were only really there for money and I'm probably going to replace most of them with more durians. I like durians. We have some natty little wooden board over water paths. When you come out of the station the first thing you'll see is the big main avenue with durian trees and orange pansies. Paths are slowly being lined with black roses and/or orange pansies (work in progress) and the pool is going to be surrounded by blue violets when I grow enough of them. I haven't traded for anything except a few bits of furniture, so all the hybrids are native grown.

Our river is xbox hueg which required the building of three wooden bridges to make the place navigable. There's a lighthouse, a stone tablet, an iron bench, a little fence with some lilies in it, an instrument shelter, a police station, and I think that's about it for PWPs.

The mayor's house, affectionally known to friends as the Murder Shack, has all the corrugated iron bits, and when Nook gets round to stocking the right upgrade I intend to turn it into a Murder Castle. Only one person so far has recognized my cosplay :'(

If I could start over I'd like a more interesting town name, but I can't see myself ever restarting. To me, this town IS Animal Crossing.

Villagers:

I don't do the dreamie thing, I like to let people move in and out as they choose. I was intending to avoid importing the ZOMGPOPULAR villagers and keep things original and fresh in Hollow, until that jerk Marshal decided to move in a couple days ago. Bah. Hipster cred = ruined forever.

Egbert was one of my starters and is my BFF bro for life, or he would be if he'd stop sending me creepy gifts (makeup case? lacy tank top? Egbert we are both dudes, what are you trying to say here)
Other starters (all still here): Tipper, Rudy, Wolfgang, Bertha
Other villagers: Marcel (wifi movein), Fuchsia (wifi movein, plot just showed up today - don't even know what she is yet), Phoebe, Marshal

Today:

Marcel asked for something to replace his sleek table, and never one to turn down a job, I went off to look. Turned out there was nothing 2x1 in Retail, nothing in my closets, nothing in the Nook store and nothing in the trees so unless I wanted to give him something out of my own house I was kinda stuck. Too late in the day to order anything either. I went to the island and found mermaid couch on offer - that'd do. He must've been impressed at getting a fancy non-reorderable island item because he gave me his pic in return. Now hopefully he puts that mermaid couch up in Retail so I get it back LOL. It really won't match his decor.

Other than that... found I'd caught Fuchsia off someone yesterday, caught a blowfish in the sea (didn't even know those existed), got a lab chair from a very nice person on this forum which allowed me to complete my mad Frankenstein torture chamber (also known as the guest bedroom). That's about it.

my town isn't anything special well i had a few requests light house from curt
brick bridge off Tiffany boomer wants the tablet or stone tablet i must say Kyle wants police station and tabby just requested illuminated heart. only built camp site the coustomisable sign board just finished the reset center now working on Kyle's request.
and yesterday u may think curt is a complete grump and not care about any one well he has a heart of gold to give up half of his sleeping hours and plan a party at his house for me to celebrate my birthday so cranky villagers hearts can be in the right place if u trust them more.

I became interested in ACNL — again. Tom and Phoebe moved away while I was cycling, thankfully they aren't my favs <3

Olivia and Hamphrey moved in, which is sweet! Violet moved out though :(

My town is Zen-themed and I'm trying to get as much Zen requests as possible from Hamphrey. The end :D

I'll talk about my WW and NL town

WW

You walk out from my house, which is on the right side of the town, in the middle. Above is Tom nooks store which is still Nookway, then there's able sisters. Below is Rod and Melba's house, and Melba is a gardening addict. In the middle lower part of my town is a small island, connected to the bridge on each side of my town, and I grow apple/peach and pear trees there. On the same island is my hybrid selection and a small beach part with single paths (I was so dumb). Right above, on the regular land is Mallory's house. As you cross another bridge to the left is the museum and above that is the town hall. Below all of those is Freckles, Filbert, Bunnie, Rolf, Doc and some-one-icant-remember's house. And on the beach is my supply of random clothing :D

In WW I never went for the dreamie thing in my main town, I usually just got whatever I got because I couldn't visit or such.

NL

Walking out from my house, right infront is a path that leads to bridge, it is ailed with pink carnations and purple pansies. To the left is a selection of blue and gold roses on Galas old house along with a pixel picture of her. As you keep walking caroline's house appears along with the retail center and above is a blue and purple hybrid patch with a fountain. Then walking right is celias house and further is a normal flower patch and further is the plaza then the police station and to the cliff is Pudge's house. Taking the bridge infront of my house, leads to a forest and right infront is Blaires house, walking to the left is Tanks house and above is the campsite, and above that is Kidd's house, and then above to the right is another bridge that takes you to caroline's house. Going right from the bridge infront of my house takes you to Opal's house below and a small pool (made with paths) then further up in a well and bunnies house. Going down the right from that is the town hall. Further down is the entry to the beach and right from that are the 3 houses next to eachother. Resident Chelsey, Resident Paige and Static.

I did work on dreamies in NL <3

I finally got done designing my flag, i'm so happy on how it turned out! At first I thought a flag wasn't going to be a big deal for me, until I thought of something awesome to do.
First, my town is named after my horse, Midas, who sadly had to be put down early this year. His show name was Naturally Golden, so he was named Midas after "King Midas: The Golden Touch". So now back to my town, where I was designing my flag, it suddenly came to my head. I whipped out some nice gold colors to the flag, then right in the middle I added a golden crown.
I really think this flag shows what the town is, and who it was named after, so i'm pretty happy with this small accomplishment today c:

I reset my New Leaf town, so here goes...

Villagers:
Roscoe (UGH)
Dora (UGH)
Monique
Cousteau
Penelope (UGH)
Flurry
Mira
Bruce
Tia

I reset on the 24th.
I haven't started any PWPs quite yet, I'm going to make my first one today.
My town flag is a crappy drawing of a pine tree, which is what my town relates to.
That is all. :D

EDIT: I don't TT, but I'm classing Bruce as a resident because he has a plot, and Tia because I just invited her in my town. :)

My town, Floofel, is steadily filling with flowers. They line these little dirt paths I've slowly been treading out for a few months. Watering them takes awhile, but it's nice to walk by the river and see these wide expanses of colour.

Our special outdoor hang-out space is coming to life too. A bonfire and camping cot for now. Soon, a picnic basket and an outdoor chair or two. I'm picturing everyone gathering there for smores and chitchat on cold nights, haha. Might make a little drawing of that sometime.

My town is HKville (Hello Kitty ville).
My mayors house is pretty much in the middle of my map, with a long lit walkway that leads you to it. Her house is rather large with a big garden outside. The garden has pink lilies & roses with an L shaped hedge around it.

Coming off of my mayors house is a light house, a little lake (path) and Bam's house.
Shortly after Bam's house you will see the Cafe and Zell, Diana, Fauna & Fuchsia's house, this is Deer village. c:

After walking past Fauna/Fuchsia's house you will come to a little forest, if you follow it through you will arrive at the towns shop (Re-tail) and Merengue's house. If you walk past Re-tail you will come to the see the Sakura's house (2nd human villager).

Going back down to Merengue's house you will find a bridge, follow the path and you can either go up or down. Going down will lead you to 1 house, this is Ange's house. There is 1 space for the last human villager who has not yet moved in.
Going up you will go through another little forest, if you follow it through you will come to the towns police station. If you go left from here you will see a few water PWPs and lots of flowers, bamboo and trees. c:

If you go right from the police station you will come to the train station & the town hall, just past that is Marshal's house. Whilst walking to his house you will see a pink and red rose garden, a playground & a water fountain.
If you go down from Marhshal's house you will find Rosie's house & the camp site. Walking even further down will lead you to Whitney's house.

That's pretty much it for now. :P

I like all of my villagers now. I like my town...considerably less.

There's just the barest hint of a path. Enough to suggest that there's a person in charge of planning, but not enough to suggest competence. There are lots of wild places, punctuated by the occasional rock and pond. Nobody uses the yellow bench, and I hit it with a net from time to time just so it can have some company.

I want to take things slower now, so I can actually enjoy shaping my village, but there's still a trace of pressure and anxiety to make it look the best it can be. I might invest in bamboo shoots and create a miniforest near the plaza and the campsite. I want to plant lemon trees that will line the path leading down to the town hall. There aren't enough ideas to make the village completely fleshed out. But maybe this is a good thing. I'll take my time.

im trying to get my town to be a zen town. im finding its not too hard with crankys to get zen requests from. my towns name implyes greenery thusly im am shooting to make it very plant oriented as well.
