I was wondering about PWPs, if you could maybe fund them by time travelling something like two months ahead in order to get a pwp funded without spending any bells (by using the trick of saving&quiting immediately after gettin' pinged by a mover and telling them to stay/go).

Thinking more about it it's probably easier to make some trips to the island instead, considering the effects TTing so far ahead can have on your town. But still I'm wondering if pwps get donations only on days you load your game.

Any time travelers that know about taking big leaps?

I'm not time traveler, but I can say for sure that it's not worth the risk. You'll get weeds, dead flowers, villagers that have moved away, but it won't fund itself. Sure, donations are made by villagers, but they're small, and when I say small, I mean small.
You should just go to the island. Better safe than sorry!

Someone on tumblr a while back tried funding a yellow bench or something solely on villager's donations, and I think it took years. So going to the island is definitely waaay easier.

I don't agree with this point. the former two can easily be taken care of with the Beautiful Ordinance. And as for the moved villagers, that's the entire point of doing the stop mass TT trick. However I think it'd just be much easier to use the island, and yes, I do agree with the two people above, it's only going to take you half an hour at the most and it's not really worth the inconvenience.

I SEE. I get at least a 1.5k bells worth of villager donations on pwps each day, but I don't TT and I keep everyone happy lol. I suppose the less attention you put on them and the longer you're gone affect the amount of bells they donate to pwps among other things, like they forgetting you (I think I read somewhere someone saying that they won't ping you at all until you get 'reacquainted with them' first when you've been gone for a long while).

it's gonna take you a lot longer than 2 months if you plan on funding a PWP using only villager donations.
As someone else said, someone else on tumblr TT'd 8 years before a log bench was funded lol: http://mayorlionelle.tumblr.com/post...o-pay-15-bells

def a lot easier to just go to the island imo. or you could invest in turnips!

thanks for the link! 8 YEARS, GEEZ.. yeah generally TTing is risky lol.. guess I'm gonna try to catch Joan next Sunday.

And to everyone else, yes, I do agree that earning the bells is much quicker and better in the end.

Yeah... TT'ing 2 months isn't going to do much for PWP funding. I would have mentioned the 8 years thing, but others got to it before I could. :P better to sell turnips, make island trips~

Do turnips. Turnip prices are the best on thursday and friday. Check here and on r/acturnips on Reddit to find people with high turnip prices. You can easily make 4-6 million a week. (With one inventory section. For example if the "A" slot of my inventory is totally full of turnips I can make 4-6 million)

You can use an alt character to hold turnips if you need to.
