Taking a while to load?

Ahh, I don't know! I always thought that in order to be connected to the internet, the Dodo would have to open your gates over online? Is the game naturally online?

I mean, if your Switch is usually connected to the internet then the game will too. You can tell if it's connected if you can see your friends online on the Nook Phone or by pressing "home" and checking the internet icon bar.

From my experience it will take longer than usual to load if my Switch is not connected.

I was able to feed the cat and make coffee and the game had only just loaded the MIserabelle screen.

I thought it was just me because I have a launch day switch... good to know it's not just me, then.

This morning I had a long load time. My internet was down at the time. When it came back, I finally got Isabelle. It seems really terrible if loading the game depends on the internet connection. Most of the game does not depend on being connected to the internet.
