Switching between Lighthouse and Windmill

I like the windmill But do either of them do anything or are they just there for decoration?

I believe that Tortimer thing is back.

One day or another Tortimer will ask you a favor. He is going to leave for a week, and he asks that every night of that week you go inside the lighthouse and turn the switch to ON.

Do that, and he'll give you something nice.

I assume the same thing would happen with the windmill though.
