i bought the animal crossing special edition switch, it's been in top notch condition ever since i got it and i only play acnh on it

i've begun to notice that when i load into the game, my switch's fans will start to go very loud and crazy, then it slows down and becomes quiet. i never power off my switch, it usually stays in sleep mode on the dock (uncharged)

i think it's normal for the fans to run a bit loud on the switch, but i just want to double check that my switch isn't going to one day not boot up all of a sudden or something

Mine does the same, it's not an issue - its just using more power to get everything loaded up! Although, it doesn't hurt to fully shut it down once in a while - I turn it off completely every night when returning it to the dock.

I guess it depends what your definition of "loud" would be.

My fans definitely turn on when I start playing Animal Crossing...but, I wouldn't consider them "loud" in the grand scheme of fans. My PC, PS4, and Xbox One all sound louder under normal usage than my Switch does with the fan kicking on. If your Switch is truly sounding loud, then there might be something wrong with it. If you're just saying that you can hear the fans in general...then that should be fine. They definitely power on from time to time. In that case, you're probably just being overly cautious.

Mine don't go crazy, I do hear a soft spinning up sound from them that kind of dies down immediately - but honestly, everyone's mileage may vary - I have friends whose Switch's fans go insane when they load up the game. I have another friend who is in the same boat as me. I don't know if it's maybe a difference between the first gen of Switch's vs the newer ones (with the bigger battery) but yeah...
