Hey guys, I have this assignment where I have to survey random people about certain topics. The one I picked out of the hat was cloning.

I think it is cool to show the wonders of science. Just imagine what it could do for species that may be becoming extinct or it could revive a hybrid creature. Such as a mutated animal that was actually is a wonder of science but only one was created. It could create several to help the earth. But there is downside. If it fell into the wrong hands terrible things could happen.
But I don't see too much wrong in it.

Science is something amazing. I see nothing wrong with trying out new things, especially in science, where one can learn so much more about how things work, and cloning is just totally out there. It's wicked.

Yes yes cloning always results in disaster IN MOVIES!!!

But in the real word cloning shows advances in science. Hell it can result badly because diversity is a necessity, but cloning is not purely artificial. Potatoes can clone themselves when split in two, it caused a famine but that was before knowledge of the need for diversity.

People worry about messing with genetic engineering and cloning, and there is reason to be careful, but these sciences when controlled properly can bring about better things in the future. For instance wouldn't it be nice if they could learn how to grow a human organ like a vegetable minus the rest of the person so there is no moral dilemma? People say they are scared that people play God, but really we have been playing God for centuries and it has only improved our living quality. I play god in video games with little artificial people, and people have no problems with it, but the moment it becomes a physical thing people worry. Fact is our race is reaching a point where we will be able to design our own life. Robots that survive on their own, even learn to read genes and make our own creatures. We have already invented our own strands of bacteria, and through selective breeding invented wonders and terrors, such as our current over sized and delicious crops, and killer bees. All we need to advance further is caution, but that does not mean we shouldn't ever go there.

Like Sporge said, that kind of thing has only happened in movies or games and have no idea if it could ever happen in reality.

We can make a copy of everyone, and maybe they can make clones that dont have diseases so someone can live their life without a disease. it shows Progress in science.

I support it.
If we manage to perfect it, then we can both restore species we made extinct and prevent others from becoming extinct and toppling the food chain. And for those who said it always goes wrong in movies: that's because if it didn't, there'd be no plot for the movie.
That said, I'm against cloning humans.
