Sun Stump Pattern?

I'm trying to have all the stump patterns in my town. On an Animal Crossing Wiki page about stumps it has a picture showing all the stump patterns and under the picture it says "The Sun pattern & Ring pattern are the normal stump patterns". I've never seen the sun pattern in my game and other than this one time I've not seen it mentioned. Does a sun pattern actually exist & which type of tree is more likely to give the sun pattern? Thank you!

I've seen what they're calling "the Ring" but it's just the default tree stump when I cut down a tree. If you haven't seen the Sun pattern either then maybe it doesn't exist.

Perhaps they were just textured so they can be used as the default pattern when you just chop the tree down and it has the little gash on the side? That's the only logical reason I can think they'd have it in the game for.

I most definitely haven't seen it and can't find any evidence of anyone who has.

I'm assuming the top ring pattern is the default after chopping down a tree, without the piece missing.
However I've never seen a sun pattern in-game, only in that picture. Maybe it goes unused? I'm sure people with access to a save editor can clear this up

Three strikes against the Sun pattern being real. Yes, the darker ones are from cedar trees. I have all but the clover... and the mythical Sun pattern.

Edit: Even more of us who haven't seen the Sun pattern. Thank you all so much! You've saved countless innocent trees from being chopped down.

I have never seen this pattern before. Maybe it's a pattern which was planned to be in the game
but didn't made into it?

I have many silver axes, and know every pattern there is.

The bullseye, as others have said, is the default sapling and fruit tree pattern.

I'm so thankful this forum exists and there are so many members willing to help new players like me! Things like this can be so confusing and I probably would have spent who knows how much time trying to get the Sun pattern if all of you hadn't set the record straight for me. Not to mention all the trees I'd have lost. Thank you all!

Righto, I got curious about this and looked into it further and I came up with nothing over about an hour and a half of Google searching for references or images. They are definitely leftover textures.

Wow, didn't even know there were THIS many tree stump patterns.
I have a golden axe and I rarely get special tree stumps.

if you use a silver axe you are guaranteed a special stump every time ^^
