So I know a lot of people are assigned some kind of reading to do over the summer, so I was just wondering if anyone read any good books over the summer. I really didn't get too much reading done, but I read a few books, 1 for school, and 2 just to read. The one I read for school(Their Eyes Were Watching God) wasn't bad, but not something I would pick up and read. The other two that I read(Ender's Shadow, and Ender in Exile) were great books, I just wish I could read some more of them before school starts.

I didn't get any summer reading, but I've read Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet, TONES of Doctor Who books(Mainly 11th Doctor, but some 8th and 1st Doctor stories.)

At my school, we have to choose one book to read over the summer from a list of ten books. They are from all types of genres. Then we have to write an essay about the book we chose. Personally, I read at least five books, and chose one. I read Flush, Elsewhere, Hunger Games(<3), Three Cups of Tea, and House of Scorpion. I loved them all, but my favorites were, (since I'm into nerdy science fiction) House of Scorpion and (since I love a romantic action book) Hunger Games. Hope this helped!

I read a ton of books just for fun, and I read The Appeal, Dune, and All Quiet on the Western Front for school.

I had to read The Autobiography of Fredrick Douglass, The Collector, and The Assault for AP english. The only one I some what liked was The Collector .... the rest were kinda boring.

we had to read Fahrenheit 451 and Lord of the Flies...well not me, I have English second semester :)

Well my school assigned me to read Gulliver's Travels and Hard Times. Hard Times was alright. A little hard to understand sometimes. Gulliver's Travels was pretty good especially wen it started getting wacky. I also had to do 1 essay each. :/

I had to read: "The Old Man and The Sea" - Ultimately, a boring book, but it took me almost 20-30 minutes to finish. Then, Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion.

I had to do reports and essays on both.

I had to read A Separate Peace. You can only imagine how boring it was just by the title. But there were some good parts.

read east of eden, whether or not you have to/are required.

it's good *censored.2.0*.

I didn't care for grapes of wrath at all, though. except for the turtle chapter. :3
