summer DIYs. . . where are they?

been playing regularly, popping balloons with the same frequency as i did during cherry blossom season, gathering DIY bottles, and yet - my DIY gain rate is suuuper low in comparison to how it was in spring. i have 2 or 3 of the summers only?

is anyone else having this experience/ does anyone feel like the drop rate for season DIY have been nerfed since the last update? are southern hemisphere people feeling this with the winter DIY too? i just want the shell wreath already

i feel like the chances of getting diys from balloons is incredibly low; it was a pain trying to get all the cherry blossom recipes and now it’s a pain trying to get the summer ones ;u;

Same with me! I only have the wreath and wand, but what happened to all the other recipes?
I hope it’s not like this for the other seasons.

I also only have a handful of Summer DIYs, but they all came from balloons. I don't go out of my way to look for balloons, so I get them when I'm either terraforming or waiting at my entrance to do a trade :/

That's so weird. Isabelle gave me the shell wreath.

That's really bizarre... I got all my DIYs within a week with no more effort than usual. I even have doubles now of a few recipes. It's weird that the spawn rates for different islands would be so varied.

Same here. I got everything within a few days. It's kind of unfortunate that it isn't the same for everyone.

I just traded for most of them. I did get lucky and gotten a few from balloons. But my sample might be skewed because I have all the non season diys so I don't get them from balloons. All the diys I've gotten have been the shell Pochette because it's the only one I haven't learned yet

Same, I didn’t make any particular effort. But if I get duplicates in the future (especially the wreath) I’ll keep them and help out!

I got mine from balloons in like 2 days. Idk if I was just getting extremely lucky, but I got a summer DIY recipe from like half of the balloons I popped until I completed the set.

It was actually easier for me to get Cherry blossom recipes as opposed to the summer ones. But I already have them so not a problem.

The summer DIYs were actually a lot easier for me to get compared to the cherry blossom DIYs. I remember having to spend hours running up and down the beach and popping every non-Bunny Day balloon I saw to get all of the cherry blossom DIYs. The drop rate felt so low. On the other hand, I got all of the summer DIYs within a week by just popping balloons as I saw them like I normally would.

The chance is not very high. I have two summer diys. I got none of the sakura ones during spring.

I got a lot of recipes during the first week. It slowed down after that and I have seen nothing recently.

Huh interesting. I definitely had a much easier time collecting summer diys compared to the Sakura ones. I got most of mine from balloons and 1 or 2 from bottles on the beach. The good thing is there doesn’t seem to be as strict of a time frame for these compared to the Sakura ones so we got all summer to collect!

I also feel like I got the majority of them during the first week or so and even got some dupes.
I'm not sure if the game "knows" that as I feel like I haven't been getting any at all recently despite there not being further updates.
I believe I completed most of them though if not all.

im getting more summer shells than recipes but i havent rly been popping balloons bc i mostly go on for my dailies since i cant rly terraform yet. im alright with maybe not getting them all in year one bc i want to have my save for multiple years. getting a new recipe 2 years after i made my island would be a nice little treat ig.

its been reported as, if not a glitch, then a weird, low probability instead of a certainty, that isabelle gives you the wreath diy? so some people dont get a summer announcement at all and some do. its very strange

it'a very strange and quite frustrating lmfao. i am getting actual SOCKS from balloons, instead of DIYs at this point...

a lot of the rng choices with this game seem either silly and poorly thought out or blatant money grabs to force you to nintendo online your way thru the game. sucks for non-online users !!

I found all of the summer shell DIYs within the first couple days. I would stay on the coast that spawned balloons and fish, landscape, etc while popping any that floated by. It actually felt much easier than the cherry blossom DIYs for me
