Suggestions for Olympus.

I started the game a little more than a week ago and I just was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for someone not too deep into the game yet. Like is there any items I should be on the lookout for at Nook's or the Able Sister's, public work projects / ordinances, certain villagers that are considered a popular "dreamy" and other things that may only happen one time or things that are irreversible. How do I unlock more Tours on the island ( I know I could look it up) but I also wanted to see if anyone wanted to do a tour with me and advice on getting medals.

What villagers are in your town? Buy as many cedar saplings as you can, those are popular. You unlock higher level tours by playing the beginner tours.

I have Lionel, Bianca, Tammy, Monique(ugh), Bill, Puck, Nana <3, and Frank

Hm doesn't seem you have any popular villagers. You might get something for Lionel or Bianca, but that's about it.

Also should I be saving the gems I get for rocks or are they pretty pointless ?

The gems can help you customize furniture later, but only certain ones use it. It's up to you really if you keep them. I usually horde them and wait for them to go on premium at Re-tail.

Gems can be used for special furniture colors. ^ ^
And if you have three of the gold, those themselves can be made into special furniture pieces!

They also sell for pretty high when ores are the 'high-price item' of the day. c=

You should be saving them, you will be able to use them in the future!
