Sudden Parappa obsession

So, a few days ago I found out about Parappa the Rapper and in that time I've watched countless hours of YouTube videos, bought blank CDs to burn and play it and UmJammer Lammy on the PlayStation and I'll probably get Parappa the Rapper 2 running somewhat soon. I've also downloaded the complete anime series (I hate anime...) which isn't even dubbed or subbed and all the easy-to-find music CDs.

But why? Help? I can see the cheesiness and cheapness of it but I don't care. Someone please think of some strong yet logical explanation. :/

I guess the upside is that I can share a whole bunch of "did you know?" facts with people if they care, and nobody seems to know who Parappa is so they probably don't.

That isn't helping. I feel that Parappa the Rapper 2 has too many noodles and the story is somehow even weaker than the first game.

i saw one of the music videos for parappa and it was kinda uncomfortable to watch, it was supposed to be cringy (i think) so idk anything about the real parappa but it looks cute
