my face is a weird shape so hair that is framed around myself looks really bad, so i usually have it on the side

a plain cuff is great, don't want to overdue it. ^^' also the curls look gorgeous, you should definitely go with those. Nothing wrong with some fab curls <3 for makeup, maybe some light brown eye shadow to define your eyes more, like this? It defines them, while still keeping a delicate look in my opinion. c:

for lipstick/lip gloss, you should either go with a red (might overdue it depending on the one?) or just stick to some good ol' lip gloss to bring out the shininess. Whatever things you pick to go to the formal, I'm sure you will be looking super fabulous.
