Stuff disappearing from storage

A few days ago I was upset that I accidentally sold a Festivale lamp from my pockets, but this thread is making me wonder if something else happened, since I'm always careful and never accidentally sold anything before... All I know is I bought the thing and then later it wasn't in my pockets with all the other Festivale items

Yes. I've had it happen with multiple things in game from learned diy recipes to clothes in storage to orderable items I sold but they removed from my catalog (regular item not seasonal).
It's really annoying especially if you like to collect everything and have your catalog/diy recipes complete. I'm always paranoid about what will unlearn/disappear. I do hope this gets fixed - it hasn't happened in awhile for me as far as I know (fingers crossed it stays so).

I haven't for sure ran into that but I stopped playing for a year and am now playing again. I feel like I had a lot more items in my inventory but I'm not sure what's missing.

I have noticed a few things going missing after I put them into storage before. I just thought that I was imagining it but it would explain why I can’t find my extra set of Princess Peach’s outfit. I have one stored in my Little Stars Wand as an outfit option but the other complete set has gone missing and I had to order a new one. Also my complete Santa outfit also disappeared.

I don't think this ever happened to me, but I would get confused because I have multiple player characters on my island.

Do you mean you have other people come visit on your island.... But if he said it was in storage it shouldn't go missing

If you open another Switch profile, you can make another player character on your island who has their own house, storage, etc.

Yes my son comes to visit so can other players. You go to airport and ask for visitors or you want to visit someone. Say Woods island. You need to be online. You open your gates
