Stress in New Leaf?

Those initiatives where you have to catch a rare fish or bug in one day can be stressful. So you spend HOURS trying for it. I think that initiative should have been put as one of the ones where you have a week to catch it.

The new secret storage was a godsend when I built it. Eventually that too was full. It's probably not normal but at least we're not alone! Finally, someone who understands haha.

Oh my gosh yes the secret storage! I played for a long while without it and then came back from a little break from the game and boom there it is, the best thing for the "I need these items I swear" people! I couldn't imagine not having the secret storage now, its just too nice, if there inst this much storage in animal crossing switch I will be very sad. maybe i'm just too spoiled from new leaf now.

I get stressed out sometimes mostly about little things like wrong path placement/position even in those places that you wouldn't typically notice, random items laying on the ground, flower arrangements or even furniture that I thought would fit but later on realized that it doesn't fit the color or theme of the room. I enjoy plot resetting or anything that involves moving villager houses and planning out where to put PWPs though.

Today I got stressed over a stupid rock blocking my path, its in this weird place by a bridge too so I cant go around it, its killing me. And I would move the bridge, but my house is blocking the only other spot for it.

I think the most stressful thing is getting PWP requests (especially specific ones). It takes a lot of time and patience and it could take hours to even get a ping for a PWP request. :( Plot resetting is stressful too I agree!

Today I got stressed out because I trampled two hybrids and thought I had accidentally trampled the last of my hybrids. I then proceeded to frantically run around town – extra hybrids were in storage the whole time, you can imagine how I felt after coming to this realisation.

Yes I know this is my own post.

I get stressed when I want to do so much stuff at once, I always do this to myself & then just save & quit & not play for the rest of the day LOL

Ah same, I remember one day there was a tourney going on, plus I had some time-sensitive initiative, but i also wanted to work on landscaping + talk to villagers (+ villager requests) so I just put my DS down and walked away (after filling the requests i couldn't just leave them unfinished ;~; )

I agree :)

I haven't seen anyone else mention borrowing/buying clothes to pass Gracie's fashion checks - also at short notice. I am lucky to have a friend who let me raid her NL wardrobe. In AC, as in life, I live in jeans and a t-shirt. Gracie would not be pleased with me ;)

Vix.

I've only tried doing turnips once and I was stressed LITTERALLY THE WHOLE WEEK. I could not think without asking Reese turnip prices and then dying when the are low

Bug Hunting + Fish Hunting:

Personally I finding fishing more annoying. Please don't tell me I'm the only one that has that nervous little twitch reflex when I know I'm trying to catch a shark or something...then I end up pressing the button by mistake and scaring it away. I've must of lost millions that way haha.

Bugs are equally as annoying. I'm so bad at telling the distance between my net and the trees that I often scare them away...or I'm just an idiot and run right into them. It's just so stressful because to me those bugs look money bags with legs...and now they are just flying away and I can't do anything to stop it-

PWPs:

I pretty much hate talking to my villagers sometimes, it gets repetitive fast. Like I'm just running around trying to trap everyone...trying to wait for them to ping. It's just so frustrating. What's worse is that if I do get a pwp request it's a really ugly or stupid one I'm likely never going to use. Why game. Why do you hate me so much.

Plot resetting:

Oh. My. God. The number one thing that stresses me out the most. Like it's so time consuming, it takes hours and hours. It's painful for me. Like it's even more painful when the villager is like a couple of spaces away from exactly they need to be. Like I swear the game just enjoys teasing me. It enjoys making me suffer. It's such a long and boring process but too bad I'm picky so I'm going to have to deal with it.

No with the fishing I get that all the time (a youtuber called it the 'twitchy finger', which, though it sounds weird, is definitely a thing; something along the lines of 'you don't mean to press A but your brain sends a message to your finger to press the button') I've definitely lost a ton of sharks and rare fish to that

With bugs I don't find it as bad, except when I walk right into the tree (*derp*)

Plot resetting: also known as reset and stress 99x and then accidentally select your mayor and then cry or actually get was you want

I was out the other night running errands, checking on flowers, my villagers etc and I was running around the town. Mid run a tarantula came out of nowhere charging at me, and I screamed so loud (read, you'd think there was a burglary) my siblings had to come and check on me. They thought there was a real bug actually in the house.

Getting past the embarrassment, I was so shaken up by the ordeal it took me about ten minutes to recover. (I'm one of the fortunate people who suffers from multiple forms of anxiety.) And now, as a result, I have my town set to be in the afternoon at night when I'm playing during the rest of the summer. That little devil shook me up pretty good.

Also, I suffer from twitch finger as well, so I'm glad to know it's not just a weird thing I do. ;o; It's all good.

Tarantulas (and scorpions, people forget about them ;o; ) are terrifying especially when there's this cute quiet calm music and then a bug just charges at you and presumably knocks you out. (and then carries you home? or maybe its a villager? idk man). woo anxiety (sarcasm, I'm sorry you're dealing w/ it, it sucks)

I think the badges stresses me out the most. Being a completionist in any game it's a little irritating that the you have to streetpass 1000 people. There is like no one who plays this game where i live

Ah same ;w; and even if you have a second system, you can't really street pass yourself/the same person multiple times in an hour (it's every 8 or so? someone should fact check this :3)

So even with the second system it would take time ;~;

At least with the hosting & visiting badges the forums exist (even for things like weed pulling, people here are more than happy to help)

This game calms me down when I?m stressed. I love Animal Crossing for that sole reason. The concept of the game is very relaxing. I love the freedom we get with the game. I love being able to design our own patterns and decorate our house in any way we want. I also love how we can even change the wallpaper and flooring! I love talking with the villagers. :)
