For the most part, it's a relaxing game. There are things that are stressful though. Things like plot resetting, landscaping (maybe? like it's sometimes overwhelming when its a new, flat land, idk?), catching a tarantula/scorpion/bees?

I don't know, I was just going to ask what you thought, if anything, was stressful about this game.

Sidenote: I totally scared away three golden stags by accident - n \\

I used to get really stressed out about who was moving, but after they raised the amount of days from 5 to 10, I find it a lot easier to deal with.

Yeah I get stressed on some stuff sometimes. :p

Sometimes it's deciding what villagers I want and then how I'll plan/make my town. Unfortunately this tends to lead me to deleting my town...

Ah so did I ;n;

Or when nobody says anyone is thinking of moving and it's been days and you worry about who wants to move and it might be your dreamie or something but you don't know because nOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING ;~;

Ahh same, I remember I would plan everything out, and then not like it, (or have someone plop down in the middle of a path, and I would lose motivation and reset)

It's not a stressful game for me. If I'm worried someone is moving, I keep the date the same until I can figure out who is moving and stop them. Landscaping isn't an issue anymore now that almost every spot in my town is filled. I enjoy earning badges, decorating my house, chatting with my villagers, etc. Also, plot resetting has been much less frustrating since the update.

The only problem is, some days nobody will move, or nobody says they're moving~
Landscaping is fun once it's figured out and planned, and once villagers are settled in.

With plot resetting, I agree it's not as hard as before, but I do get the odd villager that plots over flowers and between paths, even though there's loads of open space.

every three days a villager will ping me 0: i get friggin stressed over turnips man, i know when i buy them i cant time travel yet i need my badges aaa
as for landscaping, i get even MORE stressed cause im like wow this looks DU M B and i didnt know you cant plant bushes really close to houses so i lost 90 TBT basically and screamed LMAO

The dreaded ping ;~;

I tend to have high turnip prices (300-580), so PM me whenever you need to! ^-^

With landscaping I relate to the 'this looks DUMB' because that's me every 5 minutes -w- , I don't settle on ideas ever

If you want I could give you a bunch of bush starts to replace the ones lost to the homes :3

When I was choosing my dreamies I got a bit stressed cause I wanted a nice balance of personalities as well as the ~aesthetic~ look of the villagers.

Now I'm just stressed about keeping them all in town, especially Bob and Roscoe

I find landscaping and getting my town just how I want it for a da. To be the most successful part of this game.

The most stressful part for me is planning PWP placement and being a horrible hoarder of in game loot. I always have the unnecessary desire to seek out rare/unorderable items, even when they make no sense in any room theme. I find something, I think its cool, I put it in my locker never to be seen again, rinse repeat.

Almost this is exactly! It's odd because in real life, I'm the opposite of a hoarder but in game, it just sounds so nice to have maybe it'll come in handy! In most cases though, I never use it and it just sits there. Planning PWP placement is pretty hard too, especially permanent ones since you can't rebuild again and soon as you pay it off and if you mess up, it's done forever. Unless you restart but that just starts the process over again.

I'm used to scaring the stags away, so it doesn't bother me now anymore like it used to and they come back anyway. I get more tired and SLEEPY going round and round the island and only to see fruit beetles and miyama's.

What stresses me now...

1) Inventory when selling beetles in bulk. I finally got the secret storage so being a hoarder is easier now, BUT putting down the tools to grab all the beetles from the island is literally a work. Then it doesn't stop there...when a villager is on the way, they will ping you most of the time to buy it. Jeez. On top of that, walking around repeatedly causes grass deterioration, which is another thing that bothers me. It punishes you for not playing and playing too much. Take a side pls.

2) The placement for PWP's and villager houses. For PWP's I'm tired of Isabelle saying I can't build on a specific place where it would look perfect, so plan in advance now. My town has to be aligned, not perfectly but at least it's not scattered and the paths flows continuous. It would almost take me an hour to decide because most of the time I want it to be final. On villager houses, I used to think I'll be one of those people who are okay with villagers plopping anywhere but sometimes it's hard to make them choose a certain area without plot resetting. Like dammit I wanted Marshal to live next to Static!!!!!

It's definitely a relaxing game, but YOU are the mayor. Why introduce the customizable town feature when you can't decide the simplest things like residential area?

Scorpions and tarantulas. I didn't know what if you keep your net disabled, they won't attack. I used to think I had to keep my net out so if I saw them, I could defend myself against their terrifying attacks. As a person with a bug fear, this kept me from playing the game all summer evenings for years. I would have to TT to the next day. Then I finally realized that as long as you don't carry your net, you are fine. If you see them, then keep still, pull out your net, approach slowly and SNAP, gotcha! Now I have folders full of the scary things. But yes, it was amazingly stressful trying to avoid them before I wised up and just put my net away.

planning where paths, pwps and villager houses are gonna go, and then plot resetting. ugh.

If this game gave me any real stress I wouldn’t play it. I don’t play games to be stressed. I guess for me I have so much irl stress that the small stressors in acnl are so tiny and insignificant that I can’t just be bothered with things like plot resetting and and landscaping woes. However the bugs are not pleasant, I have a very real fear of bugs so the cicadas especially scare me, but other than that the game really relaxes me. Thankfully!!!

Oh gosh we think the same way! I totally understand!

The new secret storage was a godsend when I built it. Eventually that too was full. It's probably not normal but at least we're not alone! Finally, someone who understands haha.
