Streetpass Villagers?

I was just curious on how you get a villager from Streetpass?
How would you know?

Do you just get one of their villagers from their town?

I think it has to be a villager that moved out a few days ago or is in boxes. You're also more likely to get a Streetpass if you interact with the person a lot.

I think if it's voided. The StreetPass thing I think only works with voids, and there's also the fact that they can be adopted too. So I just think that it's a villager in their void and not "in boxes".

Oh, wonderful....Hmm...I'm gonna go beg the internet to adopt the monkey that's moving out of my husband's town in a week in that case then T.T

It's not limited to voids. Once I streetpassed my system that had a villager boxed up. I turned off Streetpass after that but LO and behold, the villager still showed up in my other town even though I streetpassed the system when they were in boxes D:
