So I recently had an error message regarding my SD card while I was playing acnl randomly pop up where my whole screen went black and I had no option but to turn off the game. But when I turned it back on, my town was set on January 1st on the year of 2012? All of my items were still there and everything else seemed to be normal after I put it back to the current date. But when I loaded it again today Isabelle had the time in the town set to June 19th of 2026???? This all started after I visited someones town to pick up some items I purchased and maybe their town was hacked, do you think that might have anything to do with it? Its just very weird and I don't know if I should be concerned for my game is all. I noticed my other copy of acnl also reloaded to January 1st, 2012 after I turned it on using a friends 3DS which was super bizarre too. Thanks in advance for any advice or answers

Check the two 3DS systems have the correct system date set. If one is decades off, for instance, that will cause a problem.
Thank you so much for your help! The times on both of the 3DS's were way off for some reason. Not to add to the original problem but I have a third physical copy of acnl which so far hasn't shown any signs of inaccurate time, even when loading it on both of the same systems. Anyway I'm sure it's fine since there's no other issue within the game I just found this interesting and was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience
