Ok, so this may be a hit and miss! but I played a 2D game about being in a magical insane asylum (not scp) and you have to contain the monsters, one of them was a hand of god and they could break the game. I don't for the life of me remember the name OR the site I found it on but it was awesome and I've been searching ever since.

Any games you remember but can't find?

There was what I think was an old RPG Maker pixel game from the early 2000s—my dad found it while googling "free games" for me—I was too little to be any good at it, so all I remember is from the very beginning of the game. I think it had a swirly purple icon, and the title started with "Shadows of/Shadow of...", and you played a red-haired girl who lived in a little medieval village. The fighting was action-based instead of turn-based, and the early enemies were bumblebees and snakes. (I... never made it any farther than those, ahaha.) The bees dropped bread crumbs if I'm remembering correctly, which I think were a healing item?

I think you had to milk a cow or deliver milk as part of the early game, and then you visited some sort of village elder or seer? They had a prophecy about some great evil, and some ominous-looking pair of eyes flashed onscreen. And I remember you could see ravens flying around the edges of forests sometimes, which was a neat little animation.

Unfortunately, my dad didn't understand at the time that downloading a bunch of free games from random websites wasn't the safest of internet practices. That computer was soon KO'd by a great many viruses and other nasty things, and the cool pixel RPG was lost to me. ;v;

You know, there was this site of free flash games.. something like arcadegarage if I remember correctly. There were some amazing games on that! but thanks to flash no longer being supported, the majority of them have just faded into non-existence. Such a shame.
