On the day villager move in, log in with a new character and see if you like the spot, no? quit withoug saving and try again, until you finally reset to a spot you like and go talk to Isabelle to save your character. You can delete it even without login mayor first.
DO NOT GO IN PREMADE CHARACTER FOR THAT DAY or plot will be saved.

I use that guide to reset villager plots and it's worked for me every time. Just know that it can be a very tedious process.

I love the idea of drawing your town off and planning everything! But I just don't have the time. You have to draw everything out and then place all the PWP's in the perfect spots...THEN spend hours plot resetting :/ I still haven't done any plot resetting...
If I have 9 villagers in my town should I start up a new character everyday? To make sure someone doesn't move in on a bad spot? I really need to start doing some research if I want a awesome town!

i never plot reset, + drawing your map is really not that time consuming. to draw out your whole map, i think you need 2 hours. but i draw bit by bit, never the whole thing in once.

I'd love to plot reset, but my town is literally so cluttered with flowers, paths, and PwPs, there's not enough room to save a character house. ._. I just have to hope my villagers plop themselves on a good spot.
