So by accident, I told Knox it would be okay if he moved out of my town. I don't want him to move, though, and I know it's possible to stop them from moving. What's the quickest/easiest way to convince him not to move?
Also, if you have any mule characters, the villager will talk to them and you can stop them from moving that way, too. I've done that a number of times. Good luck!
Stopping a villager you told to move is done exactly the opposite from the way you stop them normally. You can't stop them if they ping you. Initiate conversations and he will eventually say something like, "Well, I better get ready to move," and you will get the stay/go dialogue options again.
