I'm trying to decide if I want to reset my first five villagers or not. I have cards for all of them (I was missing Lolly, but a friend in another state is mailing me her card as an early birthday present, so yay!), which means I could scan them out and then get them back with their correct house interiors, instead of the somewhat blah generic ones. My only concern is that I've established a fair level of friendship with all of them, so I'd be starting from scratch.

For those who have either done this or thought about it, was it worth starting over or would you rather have kept them as is?

The villagers in question are: Cherry, Snake, Filbert, Flora, and Lolly.

Do it especially since you have the cards, their original houses are so much better. It's very easy to bring the friendship level back up but very hard to redecorate their starter homes with furniture gifting.

I would start over. Friendship isn't that hard to build back up but the starter house will take forever to do anything with. I let Meringue move out when she asked and brought her back in with her amiibo to have her personal house ♡

Thanks. I just found the thread with pics of interiors, and I have to say that they are much nicer than the defaults (with the exception of Flora's house. I think I may actually keep her in the starter. It's cute and perky, like her).

I'd reset especially since you have the cards. It's pretty simple to build friendship in this game.

Yea I would start over, its unfortunate that I still have to kick Cherry and Audie out because of the stupid default houses!

If only Nintendo had thought of this: After you upgrade your house by paying off the 98,000k loan, the five starter villagers will start to little by little upgrade their starter houses until they're the unique house interior that corresponds to that villager. Know what I mean? That way you can keep your favorites and eventually they'll upgrade their houses just like you upgrade yours.

I wouldn't have to kick Annalisa and Tucker out then re-invite them with their amiibo cards if that were the case.
