Wow, thanks for the warning! Seriously what is wrong with people.

Honestly, I could care less since if anyone is cutting any trees or ripping up flowers I have a handy dandy wifi switch on the side of my 3ds so I can cut the wifi whenever I please. If you don't have this switch (i dont believe they have it in the newer models) then you can power off your 3ds, and no harm will be done because the game saves before you open your gates. Abstaining from trading is ridiculous, there will be plenty of nice people who want to have giveaways, trade items, and give/receive villagers. Just remember to be wary and watch the people who visit and not let them ~wander~

Those losers tried to recruit members here on TBT a couple of weeks ago.They also tried the same thing over on Animal Crossing Community posing as a fake group that helped people fix up their towns.They used the name "Merio" here and "Rusteh" on ACC so keep an eye out for those names.They got banned here but I don't know what ACC did to them.

Thanks for the warning about this. I don't let anyone in my towns, and I usually only trade amongst myself since I have multiple towns and DSes, but this is definitely good to know and important for those who regularly open their gates for online play.

Thanks for your concern for the community first of all! But I'm very sure no one on this website would go to another person's town and destroy it. You can't friend someone if they don't friend you back. And you can easily turn your wifi off, or the power of your ds. It seems kind of like you're wasting your time if you're scared of some people who aren't hackers that ravage your town. It just sounds kind of weird. But it is very disheartening that people would try to completely ruin someone's town just to have fun, especially hidden behind a screen.

Thanks for the warning, I don't usually open my town's gates unless I'm trading and most of time it's my cycle town gate's that are open.

Is this a joke? The "organizer" Can't even spell "distract" And barely have any views on the video (probably most views are from people viewing this thread) And I doubt anyone would let random people just walk around their towns.

Thanks for the warning, though I'm not too sure how they'd be able to actually carry this out. The time it would take to actually destroy anything and leave to get the damage to save would allow for plenty of time to power/cut wifi. When it comes to trading, Me and many others have strict rule in place for such occasions. In my town, leaving my line of sight or randomly dashing off from the train station is a quick way to earn yourself a visit from Resetti.

Didn't want to waste my time on it. I just checked out their Instagram and it only has 27 followers, and the comments seem not too afraid, it seems they barely have any people on it. It seems more like a joke, I don't think there is anything to be afraid of. Pretty sure once they start trying to run through the flowers someone is already pulling the power of their wifi router. Don't think this is a big threat. I would say stay away from new accounts that seem fishy.
