It all starts tomorrow. The town in which I vow to not trade, sell, or buy anything from here.
Only help I'm asking for is the train station upgrade. But that'll be a while after the town is created. I might ask for villagers but I'm not sure. Most likely not.
Now, my original idea was to ask for WA items since there was no way to get them. But nonononononono.
I made these two lists to help me see what I can do instead of asking for items from other RVs:
Island Items
RV Items Without RV Cards Or amiibos
The town name is Fantasia. (Thanks to Kurai Hiroma's suggestion) Now, this will be difficult. I know it.
I wanna give updates in some way. Blogs seem a bit odd and if I post here, I feel like I could be considered spamming. I'll see I guess ^ ^

SO PUMPED THOUGH!!!!!!!! >:0 YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAH!!!!
?^? Sorry that was aggressive.

good luck!! i hope your town develops amazingly! :)

just remember: patience is key! things will be veeeery slow moving, so instead of getting agitated that you have to wait day by day to grow trees, and water and wait to grow a hybrid flower, and might be stuck for a couple months with a bad villager, focus on the sweet, slow, day by day town life. be flexible in how your town develops because the things you want might not come to you for months and months, but don't even give up! i think in the long run, you'll be even prouder of your town because of the slow, hard, trial and error, and work you put into it!!

rooting for you!

Congrats, I hope you enjoy! ^0^
That's something I'm going to do with my other town one day as well, but it does sound a lot of fun XD Have a great day~

Patience is definitely key here! I know it'll make each step more satisfying too!

I think it should be something everyone tries. We seem so used to trading that it a takes away from the gameplay. ^^

Good luck with it! I'm rooting for you!

Thank you! \(^ ^)/

Congrats. I plan on doing this with my new town as well. The only difference is that I will be buying villagers and some furniture here as I have very few Amiibo cards, so little access to RV items.

I am tempted to buy a villager or two, but I think I'll let my town form naturally.
And there's a lot of ways to replace RV items. Such as my sewing station. I can make a custom design shelf with sewing supplies on it :3

Good luck :)

Thank you! :D

Wow! That sounds really exciting and definitely a challenge! Can't wait to hear updates :)

Yay, your taking the same vow as me! Good luck to you!

I'm resetting my town as we speak, I got tired of my map.

I know it'll be a challenge! I seriously think everyone else should try this. Whenever you buy, sell, or trade, the game becomes a business and loses its charm. :)

Yep! My creativity is going through the roof with ways to replace the WA items!
And why?? This is why I'm making sure I like everything about my map before things are set in stone ^^
Good luck finding a town map!
Edit: I saw your post....I'm praying for your ocd lol

I played the game for a long time that way, when I took a break from TBT so I know how maddening it can be, but also how rewarding. Having done it the hard way before I have to admit I am enjoying the easy way! But I know how great it can be the other way too. I might have to get myself another cartridge so I can play one town using here and one without!

Yes, I thought of not purchasing villagers as well. Sadly, however, I do have dream villagers and the odds of them finding their way to my town on their own are not good.

That is true. I don't really have dreamies that I really want so it's different for me ^^

I play like this. I do it because otherwise I get too stressed up. I don't focus on any dreamies, when a villager moves in if I like the villager I regularly talk to it, if not I just ignore it until it moves out. So far I have Fang, Timbra and Pietro. Yes only 3 but I have only just remade my town. :p

I am really wanting Erik though... :p

Good luck! I personally prefer to form my town on my own as well. I think it might be a good idea for you to try to not buy villagers from other people. That way you can get to fall in love with characters that you've never even considered having before ;)

Yeah, playing and buying/trading can make the game feel like a business. Hopefully you get Erik <3

Wow, that seems challenging. All the more reason to show off your town when you're happy with it though. Good luck :)

Thank you! And you bet I'm proudly showing off my town wh when it's done!

That's what I usually do. I only bought villagers for Dew~Drop because it started with animals close to home and I wanted to keep it going.

Going through all the DAs on the official dream address thread for inspiration ^^
