Sprinkles the sassy penguin...and Croque the Crazy

Ok, so I had wanted Sprinkles since seeing her in a random DA I had visited a while back....
Then I bought a pack of Amiibo cards, low and behold she was one of them, and I moved her into my main town...
Ive had her for a while...and she just wasn't very friendly like the Sprinkles I had originally encountered. Long story short...I started showering her attention, letters, gifts...always responded to her Pings, and such...
Well!!! She has become one of the sassiest, funniest villagers I have!!! I don't know if when you build your relationship with a villager if then in turn it makes them open up to the other villagers...
Does anyone know? I ask cause since Sprinkles has changed into this out going friend...I seem to find her more and more at OTHER villagers homes!! that is one of my FAVORITE things!!! walking in on a villager get together...I think its so adorable...and for the LONGEST Sprinkles was NEVER at any of the birthdays, hide and seek games, and such..but now shes EVERYWHERE and I am so happy for her!!!


Also....I moved Croque into my main town and it seems he may be a racist. He down right refuses to acknowledge ANYONE else that is me *which..I have to be the one to talk first...he has never pinged me or just come over..or *gasp* god forbid ask to have me over to his house or vice versa* or Jeremiah!!!!!! Now, Jeremiah and I are CLOSE..like we are def on the BFF level and I think this actually seems to piss croquet off lol. Alotta times aftfer I have hung out with, done a PING, or whatnot for Jeremiah..ill see Croque lurking about with that angry steam puffs...lol

Honestly I feel like some villagers are different, like their personalities vary in different towns, and some of them become nicer if you get close enough with them. Like I used to have Sprinkle and she was always sweet from when I first had her. I guess her personality either comes out more or doesn't show as much. Like while Sprinkle and Cookie, two peppy villager I have/had were sweet from the start, while Candi is also peppy and acts kind of mean like you said your Sprinkle did at first. Not sure if any of this made sense but pretty much what I am saying is that even if their personality shows or shows too much, or you've seen the villager be nicer or meaner in other towns, I noticed their personality varies in towns and with different villagers.
Usually though regardless of personality, they always become nicer to you the more you get to know them. It's like how when you make friends in real life and you may not like them or trust them enough to do things for them at first, but then once you get to know them and like them you become closer and do nice things for each other and warm up to their personality. I honestly could not stand Butch or Soleil or Mira at first, but now I can't see my villager without them. Soleil and Mira are my favorites. Mira was a bit meaner at first, but now she is very close and protective of me. Soleil pretty much is like the Sprinkle you have. She was mean and isolated at first, but now she acts much sweeter to me and other villagers. She often gives me items I am looking for and she even gave a gift to Diva, which was so cute because Soleil was shy about it lol. So yeah villagers will become nicer once you get to know them, but some take longer than others. Its been the same with most of my villagers, but I do notice that with Cranky villagers while they open up to you they may not be so open to others, like your experience with Croque I have with Butch. He only ever really visits me and despite having him since I first started playing nearly 6 months the other villagers nevet really talk of hanging with him. So it might be a bit different for crankies. I also find it funny how you mentioned Croque is racist, because Butch has made some misogynist comments, like him bothering Carrie by saying that she must not be good at sports because she is a girl.
