I've been time-travelling, but I only TT'd to July at the farthest, never to my birthday & back. Why did Mom get me a birthday cake already lol & has this happened to anyone else?

Actually, I got a letter in the mail from mom wishing me a happy birthday and she sent a cake. My birthday is in November and I have not TTed past May. I thought it was strange too but I am glad I’m not the only one!

Happened to me too. I did the campsite trick and only went farthest to June. Got back to real time after I got my villager and saw the cake. Had a mini panic attack because my birthday is August and I thought I’ve inputted it wrong so I checked my passport and it’s correctly there on August. What was mom thinking?

i do time-travel myself and went to my birthday, so i got a cake there, but i also got one before that, when the earliest i went to was june. the NMT app also registers the days you've played, even if you tt back and then tt through those days again - so what i'm thinking is, that it seems to count per how many days you've played?

like, say my bday is in 100 days from when i started the game - if i tt those 100 days without hitting my bday, i get the cake. if i tt to my bday, i get it as well.

I've heard other people mention this on Reddit. Has anyone who doesn't TT gotten this? I haven't. So far the only people I've seen get this have been people who have TTed, so it makes me wonder if it's a TT-related glitch.

That happened to me too!! My birthday is January and I got it after TTing backwards to April from May. The letter specifically talks about your birthday so I don't think it's just a random gift.

Same thing happened to me! I was doing the campsite4 trick for a new cutie (picked Biskit <3 ) and only went forward two months. My birthday is in February lol

The humorous thing is in the letter, she makes note that it's clearly for your birthday. Something along the lines of: "Do you remember the day we met? Of course not, but I do! Happy birthday!"

Did you guys travel back in time too? I experienced the game counting back-days as new days with new stuff in the stores, so maybe the game counts the days til your birthday instead of going by your date? Just so that afterwards you get the present after 365 games played, not after going forth and back a day in time.

I don't normally TT but I was trying to get a villager out for a friend to have him and I never TTed past May or June. I got a birthday cake somewhere along and my birthday is in January haha.

I've done a bit of TTing, mainly to move people out, but never past May. I have yet to receive a birthday cake from Mom, my birthday is in August.
