I am so ready for this event. I am beyond excited! I will be playing the crap out of this event. haha
The only thing I wish is that there were more color options for the furniture pieces to be customized to because I would have loved to recreate my wedding venue in ACNH, but with my wedding being Royal Blue/Red/Gold/White, the closest I can get is the Pink/Blue/White and it's not really the same, to be honest. But we will see how they look in my game.

I actually really like the concept of this event! I use Harvey's island to test out interior design ideas, so I can see myself having fun with this.
I don't like the furniture though. I agree that the items aren't super kitschy looking, but I'm longing for more outdoorsy items and that's just not quite it.

One thing the video doesn't touch on (or I might've missed) is whether the items will be orderable, in case Cyrus just straight up gives them to you. They mention the wand is DIY recipe, but they don't say the furniture is, so I'm guessing Nintendo won't create 20 different DIY recipes just for that, and it will be like the Bug-Off or the Fishing tourney? I honestly like the brown recolor quite a lot, so I want to reorder them whenever I want.

I really love the stuff from this event and the fact that the items can be customized make them extra special. I already designated a part of my Island for this outdoorsy wedding and I'm excited (though irl I'm getting divorced).
I wonder how easy/hard it will be to complete the tasks though. With Label, I feel like there's almost no challenge but either way, I'm excited for the items.

I saw another video talking about this event and they said the items are not able to be re-ordered unfortunately. I believe you can get multiples of the items though during the event so you can have some customised and some not.

my wish is that it is reordable, so it wouldnt be so rare. If you get one bench, how are you going to make an wedding venue if it's not reordable? Do you need to grind for like 8 of these? oof
honestly im more excited for this wedding event to be over because im sure pretty shortly after Nintendo will release the next set of updates which im hoping will have more quality of life / gameplay changes. Events are fun and all, but I want to see diving come back :x It's been a couple months since the release so hoping they have some things to show for that~
I’m actually quite excited for this event reading the spoilers! I didn’t really enjoy the May Day event nor the Stamp Collecting Rally, but this one sounds more exciting due to the DIYs to collect etc. I am definitely more excited for a hopeful announcement after it however about what the next update will include.
I wonder if creating alt villager is a better way to get more copies of the furniture (If it's not re-orderable) versus farming on the main villager.

This is how I feel too! I expected the items to be super over-the-top with pink and frills—it's fine to have those items, they just tend to only fit a very specific aesthetic and look out of place anywhere else—but I was pleasantly surprised to see multiple color variants and a more versatile item design. I'm still not enthused about most of the set, but I'll enjoy gathering flower stands and flower wall hangings, fabric-draped chairs, and fancy tables. It's nice to see a themed event with items that have enough variety to serve decor purposes outside that exact theme.
