Speculation: What do you think the second summer update will include?

Nintendo said that there will be another update coming in early August. What do you suppose they will add?

I personally am hoping for either the Café or the Dream Suite, and maybe another furniture series, but I worry it will be just another lame event

I have a feeling it's going to be a new building, so yeah probably either the cafe or dream suite!! (i'm really hoping it's one of these two)! I'm not sure what festival or event would be going on in early august, so i'm not sure what it would be if it was an event update.

I am trying not to get my hopes up for some things, but for sure fireworks/fireworks festival I think. Would love pretty much everything else that’s been mentioned already above

I'm thinking it'll just be the fireworks festival, with maaaaaaybe a Nook's Cranny upgrade. I don't think any NPCs will return/be added.

Hopefully it's a nice, normal fireworks festival that lasts one day (or once a week, like NL) and not a month long slog like bunny day or the wedding season

They didn't focus on it too much in the trailer so that either means it's small or they're gonna focus more on it towards the end of this month. I think it's gonna have a fireworks show at least because of the background the trailer had in that part. As for what I'm personally hoping either a new building, upgrade, or npc.

a fireworks show of sorts seems to be a definite thing as they sort of teased it at the end of the wave 1 update announcement - but i hope any sort of new content will be added along with it and maybe even some events for september as i’m desperate for content lmao - i’m happy with pascal + the mermaid set but i always want More lmaoo

Just put these things that have always been in AC, back in permanently, and release the game again, in full.

I see it as the opposite. The August update is going to be massive compared to the July one. The July one was to hold us off so we weren't left waiting. The last update was April 23, so we would have been 3 months in with no update. The reason they didn't show us anything was to leave it a surprise and tease us.

The game was likely prematurely released. They fell behind schedule, especially due to COVID-19. They could have delayed the game another year just to put everything in at launch. Though would you have liked that?

honestly i dont think it was prematurely released. Maybe a little bit, but i think the future updates are intentional. I actually love the way they're doing it because if they were to have released everything at once i wouldve gotten bored within the first couple months from already doing everything
