Which do you prefer? Sparkling Water tastes weird to me so I only drink normal water, but my mom drinks sparkling water a lot. It got me thinking about what other people prefer.
Normal water tastes fine but sparkling water tastes like a failed soda or something yuck.
I like flavored sparkling water, but I prefer normal water. My favorite kind of sparkling water is the one that tastes like fruits. That's probably the only way you'll get me to drink sparkling water haha. I don't like normal sparkling water, because it just tastes gross to me. Regular water is my favorite, it tastes so clean and crisp. Not to mention that it's very healthy for you too!~
I tried sparkling water years ago, and it was so weird. I didn't particularly care for it, and I haven't had any since then. Plain water is perfectly fine with me.
What's interesting is that it's definitely a cultural thing. Here in Germany sparkling water is called "classic" and is in fact considered "normal". If you just order some mineral water at a restaurant, you'll most likely get sparkling water (note: you never get a glass of free still water here. You have to buy everything. There are also no free refills (except for some fast food joints)). There is, of course, still and "medium" water, and many people drink that as well. (Do you say still water in the u.s., or is that a British thing?)
I've been to the u.s. a few times, and for some reason I never drink sparkling water there. I think it's mainly a price thing; sparkling water was more expensive and harder to find. Do Wal-Mart or Target have sparkling water from their own cheap brand? I'm not sure...
