Song help

Hi all,
I've just been to one of my villagers houses after they asked me to, while there they gave me a a song, I've tried to add it to my stereo but it says
You don't have any songs you can register, I'm confused as it is showing in my pockets, can anyone help please?

Is it a song you already have? It usually says that if there is nothing new you can put in the stereo. Check to see if you have it already. It could be a duplicate.
