Something funny I noticed with Blathers...

Hand him a single donation of one insect, and he gets all flustered and freaked out... but donate him a horde of insects in a single go, "yes, I'll take these" with no fear.

Silly inconsistencies like this make me smile.

Maybe because when you give him one you have the option for him to talk about it and he doesn't want to talk about it?

I think it's funny too, maybe it's because he doesn't have to stand there holding it or describing these "terrible" traits that each of these bug have!

Funny little touches like this are great!

It took me absolutely ages to realise that he's only asleep during the day and not at night!

I was actually embarrassed when I realised! Makes sense, what with him being an OWL and all!

I like little touches like this - again, it took me a while to notice that the tarantula and scorpion are much more sprightly when you visit the museum at nighttime, too.

Yeah in New Leaf when you gave him multiple bugs/fish he would always say it reminds him of his mother's nest... like that must've been an interesting nest if it had so many creatures in it.
