Why is it so odd for him to be playing with his nose rather than his mouth?
It's practically the same thing considering all he's really doing is pushing air into a tube, air which is coming from the exact same place just leaving from a different hole. It's not exactly like you do much else with your mouth when playing an instrument like that other than closing your lips around it to form an air tight seal. In fact, I find it harder to blow as much air out of my nose as I can with my mouth, so I imagine this would take more practice to do, so this impresses me more.
But I do think it was odd...I just find it odd that we find it so odd just because he's not doing something the 'normal' way.
I like to imagine the guitar being an instrument designed to play with your feet, until some strange guy started playing it with his hands like a weirdo and everybody was like "what the hell? Why are you playing the guitar with your hands?"
