I'm starting to believe that the update will be unlocked for me at 1AM. I'm not really good with timezones, but I think I'm one hour ahead of EST (which I think is the timezone of NY?). I wouldn't be surprised if the dlc will be unlocked at the same time in all of the Americas, regardless of the timezone, being based on EST.

Yep, twice, actually.

The only thing I can suggest is restarting your console a couple times. Have had this help for me when a game would unlock (Mario Party for example, took a couple console restarts before it let me play at 12:03AM).

If this doesn't help... the only thing I could think of is Nintendo has decided to wait until 12AM UTC for North and South America, which sadly won't be for another 3 hours and 30 minutes, roughly.

Just restarted but it didn't work. I'll wait for 30 minutes (so it will be 12AM EST), and if it doesn't unlock by then, well, I'll just take a shower and go to bed :/

It's Nov 5th for me almost noon and it's still locked.

This perplexes me. If Nintendo isn't doing a same time release like with updates, I wonder why they didn't release it for you at 12:00am. What time did they give you New Horizons on March 20 2020?

I'm pissed. First, they ignore my timezone and make me wait a full hour longer than I should because they wanted to synch everyone in the three Americas with EST. Then, it doesn't work.

To see if you have the DLC active, make sure to check for that tiny house icon at the toprightmost part of the title screen that says 2.0.0.
