So... Obama won...

I feel bad for McCain. 0=

I wasn't strongly supporting either candidate, but in the end, I think I would have liked to see McCain take office instead.

Nonetheless, I really do congradulate Obama for this accomplishment.

'Cant wait for his speech.

We're gonna get the country back on the right track... : )

I do feel really bad for McCain though. He's a good man underneath it all... he just made some poor choices, like Palin, and let other people control his campaign, ultimately ruining his image and launching various hate-filled attacks. Poor guy.

And yet, I am extremely happy to see Obama take office. It is kind of surreal...

Welcome new president.

Congrats Obama.

Personally, I don't know what to say. It looks like the Senate and Congress is gonna go to the Democrats.... I dunno how well that'll play.

Хвала и слава нашему благородному спасителю Обама!

I believe this is what is best for the country now. If things don't at least look up from now, I'll owe you a coke :P

Seriously though, that was a landslide.

I'll be waiting for that Coke. History repeats itself and we already know that Obama's policies (and McCain's, which are the same) will worsen the state of this country. At least Bush and the Congress were unable to get much done for the last 2 years and were prevented from passing garbage in mass quantities. Now government intervention in all aspects will be used in the name of fairness or progress. The reality is that government intervention does the exact opposite of its intentions. The road has been paved for depression and Obama will see that the road is kept open. I live in Connecticut, everyone wanted Obama here and I already knew he was going to win since last winter. But who will discuss the real issues? I see too many young people shout in happiness, like we see here, for this "victory." What has been won? You remain a serf to the state. The corporations are still in control. The government wants more of your money and more of your property. They are brainwashing the children with statist propaganda. They are killing innocent people and encouraging terrorism. Obama never supported change. I dare someone to prove that anything will be different other than seeing something much worse than even what we have now. The only thing I've heard is a bunch of words. Well words are what got us here.

Heh, last night when Obama had about 170 of the 270 needed votes and McCain had about 75, I texted my friend (Who followed McCain almost religously) and said "Well looks like McCains pretty much lost." and he said "Hey all the votes haven't been counted yet.". o.O

Anywho, I'd say congrats Obama, but there's a 0.000000001 shot he'd ever see it here, so.... Yeah.

I wanted Nader to win either way.

Obama pretty much won around 9:30. He had CA in the bag, which would bring him to 230.

Anyway, 'grats to Obama, we need ya. :P

I'm probably one of the only Christians who actually bases the president on Biblical values. I don't know about you David, but Obama's the farthest thing from it. And since I promised some people I would keep some words to myself, I will say this in Italian:

Siamo tutti irrecuperabili. Egli

Storm, you're living in the wrong country if those are your feelings.
See what I mean? You still aren't talking about the real problems. You don't even know why you supported Obama other than the fact that he's a democrat and not Bush. In my above post I asked what will be different, what will change for the better? Barack Obama has the same foreign and economic policy as George Bush. You can't dis one and praise the other at the same time.
