SO much marina

Okay so its seems like people are having the same problems I'm having with marina. I've gotten marina probably over 25+ times on a island, and I noticed some other people are having this same issue. I swear it a bug or something. Anyone else?​

the game rolls for species first, then an islander, which means species with fewer villagers are more likely to appear! since you already have zucker in your town, that means whenever the the game rolls for an octopus, marina will appear half the time c:

Octo villagers are really easy to get since the game rolls species first. I'm haunted by Octavian when I go island hopping.

Zucker stalked me. I did see Marina a ton, but I think it’s more common to see the octopuses because there’s only three of them compared to the thousand cats we have.

Indeed, the best way to avoid getting the octopus islanders is to have them on your island already :D
