Hm. I am confused. I thought that balloons spawned every forth and ninth minute. Has this changed? Do you now need to do the dialogue trick to get more than two to spawn an hour?

You're doing great! 7/11 isn't too bad, though I wonder how you got to 11. Anyway, the other items can still be gotten. I shot down a yellow leaf pile, tree's bounty mobile and tree's bounty little tree last weekend, so you can still get those in addition to the mushroom ones that are out now. I expect they can also still be gotten during and after maple leaf season, until the start of winter. I'll put some lists in spoilers for you:

Since the beginning of fall (September) you could've gotten:

There really is no 100% guarantee that balloons will spawn every n4th and n9th minute. Those are just the spawn times.

The Nook's Cranny dialogue trick is done to guarantee the spawn.

By the way, it's not just the first 10 minutes of the hour. It's every 5 minutes (for example 01:04, 01:09, 01:14, 01:19, etc). So you can shoot a max of 12 balloons per hour.

Also, balloon direction changes at night. So if it's not coming in from the east, check west.

You're incredibly lucky. None of my villagers crafting this month have given me a single DIY, and I haven't gotten any from the bottle on the beach, either. I got the one from Isabelle, and then I've gotten 7 others from balloons. I still need the lamp, low stool, parasol, and mush wall. I'm hoping I'll be able to get all of them during my day off from work tomorrow.

They show up along the beach for me every 5 minutes, right on the :00, :05, :10, etc. They may spawn on the :04 and :09, but become beach visible on the :00 and :x5. As far as which direction they travel, I've found that from 7a-6:59p, they go from West to East, then go from East to West 7p-6:59a (Northern Hemisphere).

I've had anywhere from 3 an hour to possibly 6 or 8. Going or being inside when a balloon is or normally becomes visible makes that balloon disappear or not appear. It took me three days of stalking the shore line to get all the Mush recipes. There was even a Tree's Bounty recipe in there, even though I had them all already.

Ah, that explains it, thank you! I don't think I ever really understood this. I assumed that I had not been looking in the right place whenever I didn't find them and this used to lead to frustrating whole island searching.
