Wooow! After months of buying, selling, trading, giving and receiving almost every day I finally got every single catalog furniture and diy!

Holy cannoly! And for both my north and south islands, like...really?! Turnips, villager trades, generous people here on TBT and other places and being generous and everything! Thank you guys so much!! This was the first thing in this game I challenged myself to do and I NEVER thought I'd get here! I've never done this in any AC game before, not ever, not even since I started playing AC back on gamecube when I was a kid. People said balloon farming wasn't possible, but it IS possible! I got so many seasonal diys that way! And I know it won't last since the game will update with new stuff very soon, but still I'm so freaking happy right now!
...So what happens now? Well I guess I do still have an incomplete set for Sahara rugs and I'm missing so many clothes, so I know what I'm working on next!

Why would you want to catalogue everything!?

There's only so much room in the game, so most of the stuff must just remain in your catalogue rather than being used, I guess?

Unless it's so you can do cataloging events for people?

Because then you have access to ordering it from your catalog. Sometimes people change up how their house or island is decorated, and if you have all of the orderable items cataloged, all of the DIYs, and all of the non-reorderable things, then you have access to everything for decoration reasons.

I get that, but surely there are certain items / sets that you know you're never going to use, no matter what?

For example, the cute set or the throwback furniture are so far removed from my tastes that I know I'll never want to use any of them, so there's no point in me having them all catalogued in various colours.

Wow congrats that is a great achievement! To the poster above, another reason would be (this wouldn't be applicable to everyone but you never know) that it allows people to have full access to all items without having to online trade, especially if they don't plan to keep up the subscription forever. It allows for flexibility in design, I know I myself find my tastes changes and develops with time sometimes in ways I never expect. It is also kinda fun for some people to have the collecting aspect of the game, it's a completion feeling. Anyway I def understand where you are coming from w/not liking everything + the limited storage but in the end everyone plays differently.

lol! Idk, it was just a challenge for me. I guess because I never thought I could or ever would do it. I thought I'd get bored or give up along the way because that's what always happened with the other games. On the plus side, I can do catalog giveaways now! And if anyone wants something crafted, I can make it! But they'd prob still need to bring materials for it though.

Grats! That's a huge achievement.

I wish there was a nook mile achieve for catalog collection. I want to complete all the furniture/clothes/diys on my main town...but it is a lot of work trading so it's probably not going to be anything quick for me lol.
I did finally suck it up and do the pocket camp tutorial and link so I could have those items in my catalog. So that's my mini victory lol.

There was. It didn't have to be fully completed probably to account for the DLC and etc but close to if I remember correctly. I know I got it before I fully finished.

Congrats! That is quite an achievement! I’ve always liked completing my catalogue in the event I want to change up my island or want to have fun at Harv’s island, and as a collector, I wouldn’t feel satisfied until I had a full catalogue. I’m currently trying to making a wishlist of the items I’m missing - both clothes and furniture and that itself has been a huge project; I’ve been procrastinating on that until recently.
