So I only got 7/11 acorn and pine cone DIYs

Despite playing everyday and popping TONS of balloons (even got a few duplicates )

I’m posing this because I’m in panic mode since winter is looming. They’re still listed under seasonal DIYs but I don’t think I got any this month. Is it even still possible to get them? And is there any way I can cheese it?

I think they made it way to hard to get seasonal DIY's. Just let villagers give you some seasonal DIY's. Or better yet, let either Isabelle (Omgosh I found a sock behind my washer, and also a seasonal DIY yay) or the nook mile station give it to you. (what else can you spend NMT on after you played for 9 months? Srsly..) I really hate the fact that the moment you get all DIY's the season is already over..

Balloons are the only way to get them sadly. Unless you buy/trade it with someone else. We've got TBT shops here that sell the DIYs.

I agree that there should be more accessible methods in obtaining these.

This video has helped me a LITTLE bit, but yeah the drop rates for these DIY are ridiculous. Thankfully once I get them all I never have to worry about it again.

Are you shaking each tree just once? You can get an unlimited amount of pinecones/acorns by shaking just one of their respective trees! It is a bit of a lengthy process, though.

You might be against it I'm not sure but you can always time travel back a little bit and keep trying to get more.

Even with this method you're not guaranteed to get the DIY. I tried this because I am pressed with time on covid and just kept getting bells and clay/iron.

Just a tip for those grinding balloons. I've read people getting duplicates, but I never once did with the all my seasonal DIYs.

You are less likely to get duplicates if you immediately learn the DIY you get. I believe the game still thinks you haven't obtained the DIY even if you already have it in your pocket. I've only gotten duplicates AFTER I got and learned them all.

This saves time if you want to get them all immediately.

My mom wasted some Halloween candy because she saved learning her spooky tower recipe until later and the game piled on spare DIYs as a result. Yea, unless you have a reason to make duplicates it’s best to learn as you go.

I am referring to seasonal DIYs. Ordinary DIYs can be obtained from the sources you mentioned. But seasonal recipes such as the cherry blossom, young spring bamboo, summer shells, acorn/pinecone, mushroom, maple leaf, snowflake & festive ornament DIYs are all balloon-only.

I always talk to my crafting villagers and collect bottles. Never did I obtain any of these DIYs from them.

I believe this is true for the SPOOKEY DIYs during October. But now? Not so much. I have never gotten any seasonal DIY from the bottles or the villagers outside of the Spooky ones in October. I suppose I could have had horrible luck this entire time until October, but it doesn't seem very likely.

They make them unreasonably hard to get. Some people don’t play for long enough to notice a bunch of balloons. I’m planning on buying the winter ones on this forum so I have them in time to actually enjoy decorating.

From what I understand, you can't get the last few pinecone/acorn ones (like tree's bounty arch and the big tree) until there are maple leaves flying around, as those recipes require them. That's a lot of diys that are available in that short window of time (10 days)... acorn/pinecone, mushroom, AND maple leaf ones. I don't usually time travel, but I've decided if I can't get them all before Dec 1, I'll TT back and catch up.
