So I bought a glitched Monster Statue on ebay... for science...

I like getting AC merchandise and got recommended one of the many digitally sold sets on ebay. And it said it featured a 5th glitched Monster Statue.

So... I couldn't get it out of my head all morning. Like wtf is that?

Before I toss it in the trash (cause the paranoia in my mind won't let me hold on to it) I thought I'd share what that looked like.

I want to assume that there was something wrong in the coding for the hacker.

Oh and forgot to take a pic of it but when you put it in your inventory it takes up a space with it's name wheb you hover over it, but no picture display at all.

I'm trying to figure out if there is like an in-game item with that coloration and thus the godzilla is taking it from it o_o

If I display it outside and a cloud flies over it, it turns completely black except for the glowing eye.

it appears that it is using the texture of the trenchcoat the player is wearing. the game probably has no texture for a "5th" variation and just grabs the first texture in its memory

Oh man, in that case we could have had it in any colour? Pastel blue with fluffy clouds? Viking scales? Just rainbows? Shame it got tossed, I miss it already

Too late. I actually tossed it in the trash before posting.

But funny enough my boyfriend actually hacked his switch so I might be able to ask if he can recreate it on his switch and get pics after the lockdown.

It did not. I have all the statues and it didn't add a 5th.

I'm curious! Did you worry there may have been any risk to your own game data in purchasing this and setting it up in your town? That's what I would have been afraid of! Or did you perhaps use this on a spare switch/island of yours?
