RULESET:
The best way to do this would be to make a ruleset named TBT Rules and save it for whenever you need to do your matches.

• Style: Stock
• Stocks: 3
• Time limit: 8:00
• FS Meter and Spirits: Off
• Items: Off (It's best to set the yellow Frequency slider on the top to None instead of manually turning off every item.)

And under Advanced...

• Stage Hazards: Off

And while not a rule for how the game plays, I'm going to give a 3 day limit per each round. It's usually a 2 day limit but I feel like 3 is a bit more forgiving, plus there's probably going to be some new people here. Being inactive without notice will cause you to forfeit.

Honestly I do want to add more stages, but I feel like if I add in too many that people (including me tbh) will forget which ones are okay to play on and which ones aren't. This is probably a good place to start, and then for later tournaments we can add or remove stages if people want to.

I saw the last tournament and wanted to join, but by the time I saw it, it had already started, so I didn't get to. However, now that the second tournament is open, I think I'll give this a go.

I will play and I think these rules (and time limit) are an improvement from the last one. As long as people remember to turn stage hazards off, the stage list is better. I think Wario Ware, Skyloft, Frigate Orpheon, and Dream Land could also be added based on other established rulesets. I also found this list. I believe these four are usually allowed before Unova at least. But if you wanted to keep the list from getting too long, it's still pretty good.

Oh there's plenty more stages that could be added (off the top of my head, Fountain of Dreams once it gets patched, Midgar, Yoshi's Story, Pictochat, Wily Castle), but most of them are kinda similar to Battlefield or FD already. And then there's other weird cases like Lylat with the ledges being a mess (which is nothing new) and people falling through it.
Honestly tho I would want to go wild and add all of these stages plus some slightly more out-there ones like Halberd and Wuhu Island. But I'll leave that up to the next TO to decide.
