Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.
That’s a good question.
I live near Paris and aside from the business district of La Defense (which I pretty much never go to since there’s nothing to do), which has 95% if not more of Paris’ skyscrapers, there aren’t anywhere else to see any.
I did go up the Tour Montparnasse which was really pretty even though it was a long time ago so I don’t really remember it.
I also went up the Eiffel Tower a few times, if that counts, lol.
I was thinking about this whole thing by myself for a while after one of my friends visited Tokyo and Hong Kong. Like, I’ve never been in a city with a lot of skyscrapers like New York or something and I would love to. Paris is nice I guess, but it’s not very imposing, size wise.
I visited New York in 2021 and was enthralled. It was a jungle of skyscrapers. (we were mostly just walking the city, so I don't recall visiting any).
I've never lived in a city. It was a foreign concept to me. So many people too.
My main criticism for New York are the pushy sales merchants. One guy got angry and yelled a nasty racist comment at us after my younger cousin said 'no thanks' to his CD he wanted to sell. (he made a remark about our families mixed ethnicity). Apparently the correct answer is to just walk away and not say anything to them.
This was in Time's Square. I guess the people there are extra predatory because of all the tourists.
I live near a city and have been to many cities so I've seen lots of skyscrapers, to the point where I'm not very impressed by them lol. I get way more excited when I see an open field than when I see a skyscraper
The only skyscraper I've ever been to is The Empire State Building. The elevator ride to the top was very long and getting around a bunch of other tourists in the building made me feel claustrophobic. Seeing the city from the top both activated my fear of heights and blew me away. I saw a good amount of Manhattan from up there and the cars on the streets below looked like ants.
