signature help?

so i was messing with the signature settings on this account, and tried to upload a pic in the signature.
however, i am filled with frustration because i can't seem to get a signature picture to appear!
-i used a fully-functional imgur url (which i own)
-i used the image uploader function, aka

-it's not like the link doesnt work; the whole link part just disappears and cant be seen in the preview. SO WHERE DOES IT GO???
please help, ive searched literally every thread i could find but to no avail.

If your signature image exceeds 715 (width) by 250 (height) pixels or 253.9 KB, the image will not transfer via the site uploader. There have been times that the site uploader can act a bit wonky.

Check your image properties and make sure it doesn't exceed TBT signature guidelines.

Copy the image's BBCode URL from Imgur and paste the BBCode URL directly into the 'Edit Signature' box. Preview and save.

it doesnt exceed any of those, in fact it's way below the limit.
even when i paste the bbcode url in the url just disappears entirely in the preview. no pic appears. im really baffled lol

What type of image file (.gif, .jpg, .png) is it?

Your BBCode URL should look something like what is in this box:

[IMG]https://i.imgur.com/yourfilename.jpg[/IMG]
