*sighs* Nookazon

Honestly I've only had +positive experiences on Nookazon but that situation sounds annoying. I used to spend a lot of time trading on TBT so I know that your reviews are important. But worst comes to worse you just ditch it for TBT lol

I've only used Nookazon a couple of times because I never really liked the layout and everything is extremely overpriced there. I also really happen to like the rating system for TBT, which is well-managed by the staff. I'm glad not everyone has negative experiences with Nookazon, but it's personally not for me.

I’m so sorry that happened to you! I’ve only used it a few times to buy smaller items (wallpapers, cheap items, materials) and haven’t had a bad experience. I’m very wary of scammers and will only trade with someone with at least 20 reviews and 5 stars. I find people on there are either super impatient or completely unresponsive. Like, if you’re not online don’t say you are!

I hope the Nookazon staff respond to your complaint about receiving a fake bad review. That’s why trading on here feels so safe! The staff are very helpful and have zero tolerance for scamming.

Yeah unfortunately it's all about the people on nookazon. The platform is incredible. I think the review system keeps people honest, but there are still people out there who just want to ruin others' reviews.

I can't even trade on Nookazon when I'm actually trying tbh lol. Any time I make an offer the person never responds or wants more than I would ever give for that item.

man this just adds to my list of reasons why i avoid nookazon if i can help it list.
sorry someone gave you that unjustified rating though. super lame of that person.

Getting an undeserved bad review is one of the most annoying things possible on a trading site. I definitely understand that frustration. If I were to make a recommendation though, the discord server for Nookazon is quite a bit better than the website itself imo. A bit more of a mature audience on the discord it seems rather than the... lack of.. on the actual site.

As a seller, I don't have bad experiences. But I'm one of the few people that ACTUALLY list how many nmt/bells they want. lol no make your own offer bull****. haha but as a buyer, I almost never can buy anything from it bc everything is overpriced.

Nookazon really is a hit or miss sometimes. I've been trying to complete my catalog using it when I'm not getting any bites here. You'll get really kind people, like the one I encounter the other day. They offered on a touch trade I listed, but when I accepted their offer, they said they just got it from another trade but still offered to let me catalog the one item and a bunch more they had. That was great.

Then there's the ones that you know you're dealing with an immature kid (or just a turd of an adult). On another touch trade, when they came over, they thought it was a regular trade, I had it clearly listed as touch trade only. When I explained what a touch trade was, they still ran off with my item. Like sure, I can order a new one, but that's not all, they brought over colors I already had cataloged. Awful, left me ticked off.

I prefer TBT way more than any other site, that's for sure.

Not gonna lie, if I hadn't been involved here in New Leaf times I'd probably just be slightly horrified by anybody I didn't know at least sort of tangentially through real life ties to trade with :'D but back when New Leaf was ....new (LEAF) I stumbled across this lovely place and was mildly astonished at how freaking nice and honest people really were overall and remain to this day ; u; I've def recommended TBT to errrrbody I know that plays. I really just find it pretty special honestly that there's this one small corner of the internet that is legit SO ACTUALLY NICE. I love it so much.

There's good and bad everywhere you go, and on all levels.

You know your own truth, as well as the person who treated you unfairly.

Other people will see that, and make up their own minds. :)

That's definitely really immature of them to give low star ratings because they didn't win the giveaway. Makes me think the person who did it is either young, immature, or both.

I've been really lucky on Nookazon. I'm on there pretty often selling flowers and such, and haven't had any bad experiences yet. At least nothing that resulted in any damage. Most of the people I've dealt with have been very nice!

There does seem to be a problem with people overpricing items and people offering crazy low offers for items.
Like I can understand charging high prices for items that you can't reorder. Items like Gulliver's and art are harder to get, so charging more makes sense to me. But people will want 10 star fragments for a desk you can order in game for a couple thousand bells! It's absurd.
Or over 100k for a K.K. song that you can order! Sure, I get charging a bit more than it takes you to order it, but not that much.

At the same time, people will try to offer you 15k for a hard to get item or flower like blue roses. People want a lot of money for what they're selling, but want to pay pennies for items they need.

Yeah, I once offered 1 NMT for the trash bags item someone was selling and they wanted 10 NMT lol

I stopped used the “buy from wishlist“ option when selling rare items because people will just choose the cheapest item on your wishlist as an offer. Like if I’m selling a Pagoda, I’m not going to want the bamboo candle DIY recipe

Yeah, something like a trash bag isn't hard to get, so it makes no sense to charge that much for it.

Oh yeah, that's a problem too. Maybe it'd be a good idea to make separate wishlists for expensive and regular items? I have my clothes, furniture, and mom item wishlists separate, but I didn't think of dividing them further until just now. That way if you're trading something like a pagoda you can use the expensive items wishlist.

There will always be people who abuse it, no matter where they are.
