*sighs* Nookazon

I got Raymond as one of my first villagers a few weeks after the game was released. I didn´t want him - never talked to him or anything - and when he finally was in boxes I thought why not make someone really happy (and myself a little bit richer) by selling him on Nokazoon...

I was looking for Bells and said that I would pick whoever gave the highest bid - sounded fair to me.

The trade itself was fine. But after that I got 7 (!) one-star reviews from people complaining that they didn´t get picked. One said he will find out where I live and chocke me to death...

So yeah... I don´t really like Nokazoon and never used it since.

Holycrap, I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. Exactly why I’m scared to use that site.
 
Well I think Nookazon is not that bad as what some people say in this topic...

Ofcourse some people make things expensive, but at the same time there are some people here on tbt too who dare to ask 50tbt just to let someone catalog or order 10 items which are in the game maybe 2000 bells each. That's like 50nmt just to catalog or get stuff with a total worth of 20000 igb. Or 5tbt per (cheap) item to orderor catalog. Sorry but those prices are insane but somehow some people think that's ok while if someone charges 5nmt on Nookazon for the same item it's not ok.

And yes sometimes people on nookazon says the offer is too low and it feels not fair... but in the meantime some users here can be like that too. When I sell something it's everytime "ah can I get it cheaper?" while everytime I want to buy something of that same person it's "ah can I get some more?". If that person did the same on Nookazon it's all bad...

Well what I want to say it you have to find the right people on every site. There are a lot of great people here, but also at Nookazon and it's not fair how that site gets a lot of critic about things that also happen on here.

Edit: only thing I don't get is about the stories of people who got mad at them for declining an offer and send messages. The only option to chat at Nookazon is when you accept an offer so how are people getting bad messages except maybe via a review which is 1 time only and you are even able to report/block that user. Maybe even get the bad review removed after reporting.

Not to be mean or anything but i agree with them that you should not give someone five stars just because they followed you. What if they turned out to be not very pleasant to trade with? and you say people do that all the time there? that is not good and defeats the purpose of such a system. Anyway, i totally dont agree with them giving you a bad rating in return. btw, do you craft fish bait? i am willing to give you anything to craft me some once i have online membership XD

Sometimes, people will leave a counter offer and then you can message them through that. Also, blocking only prevents the user from offering on your listings and viewing your profile. :/

Unfortunately every trading site has these issues. I used to trade a lot in the game Team Fortress 2 and holy was it terrible. I still have a report against me from a scammer I refused to trade with. Thankfully the Animal Crossing community is a lot more mellow :)
 
I have only used Nookazon through their discord because I can't be bothered to build a rating on there - I have a good one on here and that's enough for me. I did trade villagers on their trading channels a few times, but that was mostly me pushing my villagers to people who really wanted them (for free) and finding people getting rid of villagers I wanted (for cheap/free).

The people I have met villager trading there all seemed very nice although some of the people I gifted villagers to seemed very young judging by their communication. (Don't care, as long as they are happy!) I think in general the audience here is a bit more mature.

I'm still in contact with the person that gifted me Flora... I send her screenshots and updates every now and then. She even visited to check up on her a few times. Overall an 11/10 experience :D
 
I actually didn't know people used the rating system in ways it was not intended to.

I was very scared to start a nookazon account because of comments like this. But I guess I got lucky, nothing but good experiences so far, sold 3 villagers there already and bought a couple items I needed fast and couldn't wait for a response here, like fish bait, all super quick and smooth trades (even better price for the bait). All the trades I did where actually quite similar in style to the ones I do here - arrive, say hi, the item is already dropped, I drop mine, we swap places, say bye, leave a nice review afterwards and that's it. But I still prefer TBT for sure, I just go there when I don't have the patience, or for villagers (the market here for them has slowed down almost completely and most of my villagers where getting voided).

Also, I'll have to agree to this. Most prices are great here, but for cataloging individual items or sets, not so much. 25 tbt fot a set? really? that would be the same absurd as 25 NMTs in nookazon.
Edit: just to add something, I think the prices to catalog all in game items are fair (so much trouble setting up everything), just not the individual sets, as it costs you nothing

I rarely use Nookazon and only did so when I was looking for Redd art and mush items a month back. It’s hard to tell who’s a scammer and who’s not. I think people there, as pointed out by others, more immature compared to ones on tbt. And more rude too. 😅
 
I just used nookazon for the first time today. I need a few more crowns and wreaths to complete my diy catalog and can’t seem to find them here. I got two pretty quick and the trades went fine. I have made offers on several others and watched all day but got no responses. Idk how long it normally takes for sellers to answer on there but most of them were listed as online all day. Even if they just declined my offer I’d be fine with it cause I could move to another seller. I just don’t get being online all day and not responding at all. And yes there are many way overpriced items on there. And people saying they want at least 2 wishlist items for their 1 item. I personally feel one rare item for a rare diy is fair but what do I know.
