Should I ruin my island?

I started playing ACNL again by starting a new game and now I'm on my third week I believe (without TTing) and everything was going smoothly until I got to a point where I need to start making tons of money to pay off loans for 4 players! (rip) which means I might have to actually ruin my lovely island by cutting most trees and removing the bushes in favor if getting a higher expensive bug spawning rate.
I always refused to ruin the look of my island even though I know I can just replant the trees but now maybe I'll have to do that? I just might regret it since I don't TT but I don't know..

my island's bare. i kind of forgot about refurbishing it tbh. but if you need the money i suggest you do so since you can replant things

You can also purchase bush starts from grams and bring flowers in your hair and mouth as accessories to plant at the island as well. The damage isn't permanent

how come I've NEVER thought of bringing flowers as accessories to the island before! that's genius lmao.

I've already cleared most of my island save for the last 4 palm trees, it looks bad now but I think I can just replant things later

I've recently reached 100 million bells, and don't really need to farm bugs anymore, so I've planted trees and bushes, and sneaked over quite a few hybrids. My island looks better than my town.

I wouldn't ruin it unless you really need the bells.

i only use my island for bell related purposes so i was completely fine with chopping it down lol. it definitely helps. nd yeaa, it's not permanent, though by this point i've forgotten that it used to have bushes at all.

I really just got rid of flowers because I can handle the other bugs by scaring them away. And of course you can bring flowers back onto the Island. If you aren't planning to do this - needing a large amount of mony to pay off stuff - again, then after this you can rebuild the Island back up again.

Even if you do ruin your island for a while, you can still fix it later, like others have said. All I did to mine was chop down a few of the normal trees (and remove the stumps) and added some palm trees, and it's brought in tons of money ever since.
