I like my town but I feel like I picked a bad map and the placements of things has started to annoy me.
I can't decide whether it is worth restarting my town as I love all my villagers(apart from Yuka) and I have had this town since I got the game and am attached to it.
I could use some advice on whether or not to reset please
Also my dream code is somewhere if you want to visit before you say if I should reset or not, Thanks!
I would suggest resetting if you think your map is bad and the placement of things isn't very good c:
At the very least that when you reset you know which map to pick and where to arrange things nicely~
(coming from a person that reseted his town over 4 times xD)
it sure is. you lose all your villagers and have to get them back (if you liked them). it could take a long time to find them again. then all the items you want to keep. you would lose or would have to find some trustworthy person to hold onto all the stuff you have. hybrids, bells, unoderables, sets, etc.
It's your decision, but if I didn't like my map I would. You're stuck with it and if you have an issue with it, that probably won't go away. You can always ask people to hold your villagers and items for you so it won't be like completely starting over.
I would reset - you either like your layout or you don't, and if it hasn't grown on you by now...
I reset a few months ago and managed to get back most of what I'd lost through TBT and other sites. You could ask a cycler to hold some of your fave villagers while you restart, if you think that'd be an issue! My biggest upset was having to start again with the catalog, haha...
I had this exact same problem a long time ago, and I had kept my file. For me, the town had grown on me, the neighbors were all wonderful (pictures!), and, well, the town layout was so-so. I still restarted, as I had done everything that there was to do in the game, except for get all the items. Well, it was sad to see it go, but I got to relive all those memories again!
Thus, I say restart, but, in the end, it is your decision.
I know I'm having that problem. I kind of like my map but those dumb rocks are in the worst places!!!! But I almost have all of my dreamies and I wouldn't want to burden so many people to hold my villagers and items.
How about try a new path and change where the trees are and stuff. Once I get all my dreamies I'll find a nice path and organize all my trees and flowers because resetting is such a huge hassle. This isn't pokemon, it's not as easy. So I say don't reset if you have all your dreamies and have a lot of rare items. But it's all up to you in the end
If you had completed a lot of shops and upgraded a lot of things, I' keep it. You can always find those villagers again or have people hold them. The thing is, a bad layout and bad placement cane make things really annoying. That's why I had to reset. I lost a lot of dreamies, but I've gotten most of them back now! I think you should reset, but it's your decision!
if you're truly unhappy with your layout, i think you should reset. you can always gain villagers/items back, i mean it takes time... but it's not impossible. enjoying your map, pwp/house placements is the important part bc that's what you'll see when you load up your game.
