So for the second time Marshal has shown up in my campsite (dubious hurrah). I was looking for a smug to replace my badly-plotted Henry, but wasn't thinking of Marshmallow - I wanted Shep or Zell, maybe Lionel. But Marshadow's a cutie, and I'm kind of tempted. His house exterior is a little bit too modern for my town, and I don't like his over-ratedness.

If it were me, I'd invite him if I didn't already have another Smug villager town just so I could get the Smug PwPs. I'd still keep an eye out on the Villager Trading Plaza for my dreamies, though, as long I didn't already have 10 villagers.

I don't think his popularity or "over-ratedness" should matter to you. Why care what other people think of a villager? The only thing that matters is if you like him. He won't ruin your town or make it overrated and unoriginal. He's just a villager like any other.
If you like him, let him in. It sounds like you like him but not his house exterior. What's more important to you - villagers that appeal to you or houses that appeal to you? Once you answer that you'll know if you should invite him in.

Yep, thanks for confirming my mindset! The thing is, I love Shep AND his house exterior - it's just I haven't seen many villager shops open lately and I'm not a very patient person. I think I'll probably pass on M-man for now...

I have him in my town currently and that's what I've been doing. He has a lot of the sloppy series. So far I have his chair and couch...I think. I may have gotten something else, but I don't think so. And seeing as the sloppy series can't be bought and isn't orderable, it's a good way to get the majority of it.

Why not, you could always move him out later.
I dunno. The hassle I guess. Also I want to remove a lot of my paths once I get a semi-stable community here
