I need your advice and opinions. I'm only allowed tp get ONE game between these two, and I am pretty much torn between the two seemingly great games.
Which one should I get?

(Note : I haven't played OoT before, and I only played a little bit of LTTP)

I suggest you get Ocarina of Time! Really fun and cool game! I'll edit this post later on why I think so but I'm tired ATM 2:35 AM >_>

A Link Between Worlds, OoT is really overrated in my opinion. (It isn't bad, just overrated) ALBW is amazing. I'm not that great at Zelda games, and I haven't beaten a lot of them, but ALBW is so fun I was motivated to beat it.

ALBW because OoT is a joke unless you turn the difficulty masochism dial up to maximum

also because gold cart Ocarina>Ocarina 3D

I got Ocarina of Time on the 3DS because I've never played it before and I agree with Jawile that it's overrated. It's still an amazing game, I think, but after playing A Link Between Worlds I'd prefer that if given a choice. I'm much closer to beating ALBW, it isn't the hardest game but the puzzles are a lot of fun and I've enjoyed playing it a bit more than OoT.

I agree that OoT is definitely overrated. It's very hard to get through the game without using a guide if you don't have a lot of experience with LoZ games. I never got ALBW but looking at the top/down gameplay I think I'd enjoy it a lot more.

i think unless you played a link to the past before, i'd just get ocarina of time

uhh

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

no

more like skip both of these and get alttp instead

actually i agree, LOZ is difficult for anyone who hasn't ever played it before and don't have experience, because all LOZ games have typically used the same observation layout, and it can take a new player a long time to realize something that would take us players very fast.
i remember one time i told my friend, who isnt a gamer, to play LOZ ocarina of time on my 3DS, and i watched her and she couldn't get past the deku tree because of a small hidden thingy she was missing, which i wouldve guessed right away. so it takes new players a while, but im pretty sure OP isn't new to LOZ tho lol

OoT doesn't need a guide unless you're just very blind about your surroundings and don't read at all lol
I really like OoT, but I would pick A Link Between Worlds. I have both, haven't finished the latter bc lazy but yeahh

I'm still gonna disagree, but hey. Opinions, right?

Ocarina was my starting Zelda and none of the required main game stuff gave me trouble aside from some trial and error things that come with starting any new game really, and its type of gameplay style was completely new to me. I'm positive it took longer for me to do stuff back then compared to if I was to do the stuff today with the same setup, but really that's to be expected. There are Zelda games that even on replay give me a worthwhile challenge and I'd agree with possibly being hard for newcomers without a guide, but Ocarina isn't one of them, nor was it one when I first played.

Maybe for a different Zelda, but Ocarina's definitely the easiest I've played overall of the franchise unless you force a challenge upon yourself.

If you never played Ocarina of Time i say get that one. Its an incredible game and still holds up today. If you have maybe the enhancements might not be worth it.

I wouldn't say Ocarina is the best game ever and I'm still debating whether to even call it the best Zelda game, but it's a classic. If you like Zelda you should play it. If you're just getting into Zelda you should play it. If you don't want to play it right now you should someday play it. (You should also beat A Link to the Past, because that's just as awesome if not more, but some people find it kind of long and difficult so that depends on you)

I mean, I'm sure ALBW is awesome (I haven't played past the beginning), but I would feel weird playing a sequel to something I haven't beaten. It's not required, every Zelda game and even sequels can be played on their own, but I feel like it might have a bigger impact to beat ALttP first? (I don't actually know for sure, maybe someone who's beaten both can elaborate on it)

Hi im here to cut though all Bias and give you a awnser i have played both and here is what i think.

Story : By far OOT has better story but thats not to say ALBW is not good it is just you see it a mile a way.

Difficulty : ALBW is by far more difficult , but if your not a seasoned Zelda vet you may find OOT difficult at times also.

After you beat Game : There is lots to do After you beat ALBWs and it Supports spot pass data so you can play vs other links
After you beat OTT u can play OTT MQ so that will keeo you busy.

Music : Both have great Music it is a Zelda game it should have great music OOT is all about music and plays a huge role is game.

Overall Rateing : ALBW 9/10 One best zelda games of all time. OOT 9/10 a classic that made you fell for the Story.

Well thats it hope this helps.

Ocarina of Time. LBW has an extremely short gameplay, and OoT had a much better replay value imo
