I've never played Legend of Zelda games before but I know it's one of the most popular Nintendo franchises. Should I buy the latest Legend of Zelda game?

Please share what you love about the LoZ games and if you enjoyed the latest one. Thank you so much! :D

If you have enough money then I say go for it. It's fun. :)

A Link Between Worlds is classic "2D" Zelda. If you love adventure games, exploring worlds and solving puzzles, it's the perfect game for you! :)

I'm personally not a fan of the 3/DS titles of LoZ but if you are into ds titles for the games, go for it.

Personally I've played almost every Zelda game, including all of the ones for DS/3DS, and I've enjoyed them.
I would definitely recommend The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. I've played it for almost 13 hours so far and I think it's great. The dungeons can be tricky at times, but it's fun to use your brain once in a while haha.

I'm a huge fan of the Zelda series. Although I haven't actually got A Link Between Worlds yet.

I'd recommend paying like ?3.00 for one of the virtual console titles (Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Links Awakening) and seeing if you like the way the game is played. Graphics aside, the gameplay is the same.

Then if you like it, you know to spend the extra for ALBW. Those older titles are well worth the money anyway :)

Yes! Ive played them all and I think that A Link Between Worlds, and the re-made Ocarina of Time 3DS are the best Zelda games made since Wind Waker for the gamecube. I didnt care for the Wii Zeldas, the 2DS Zeldas (phantom hourglass/spirit tracks), or the gameboy ones (oracle of seasons/ages) If youve never played them before I'd say Ocarina of time is a must (especially on the 3ds) and A Link Between Worlds, though Ive only just started it, is great so far. Ive played them both (practically, LBW isnt really a re-make but a sequel) on their original consoles and think youre lucky youd get to experience them like brand new games. If you like games at all I cant see why youd dislike Zelda. Nobody I knows that plays games doesnt like Zelda.

There's loads of people that don't like Zelda. I'm not one of them, but they are out there.
You have to like long scripted story lines, puzzles and quirky camera angles to appreciate Zelda. Many don't.

Also, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are on the DS, not 2DS. The 2DS is just a 3DS console without the 3D capability.

There tends to be two types of Zelda fans, ones that prefer the third-person, 3Dish games such as Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time and Windwaker, and then there's the fans that prefer the sprite, 2Dish games such as the original Legend of Zelda, Link's awakening and the Oracles.

A Link Between Worlds is much like the latter. Hence if you're really undecided, I'd test drive an eShop game first.

I say yes.
It's a great game, and it has multiple difficulty levels, in case you're not sure of your ability.

I love Zelda but this game is just…Eh.

Most things are from an above perspective, including some cutscenes and it drives me nuts. I've been watching someone play it on YT. I don't like the enemies, Link, or the princess in this one.
