Is it September or am I just not lucky. I need a mitten crab and a giant salmon to finish my fish collection. I've been fishing for 4 hours a day since sept first and haven't caught either one. Like....... Why won't this happen.

Mitten Crabs will appear September 16t from 4pm to 9am.
Giant Salmon can be caught easily if you reset repeatedly or wait patiently.

What do you mean by reset repeatedly? cause I've been trying to catch one as well

If you go to the mouth of the river and there are no fish, you can Save & Quit. You do this repeatedly. It can take as little as five times or it can extend to...fifty. Depends on how lucky you are.

By the way, I read somewhere that the Giant Salmon tend to be active more so during the first two weeks of September.
